Put video into main menu

How do I put my video I made into the main menu?

I'm not looking for intro video. I'm looking for the main menu video like where you can select Campaign, Muliplayer, Credits, ect.

exactly. It's in there. Find this section in rome.lnt in the menu folder. find the folowing section. Change the line <fmv> dump0000.m1v to the file name you put into the menu folder. Don't 4get to back up everything first.

<left>0</left>
<top>0</top>

btw, how to save video as M1v so it can be used as background video?

You don't need to mine is in .wmv. Just use the complete name and extension you give your video. Don't forget to back up your files before you edit anything.

Always when i try to start RTW it CTD when trying to load main menu.

Well i did what you said but now i'm getting just loading screen. What's wrong?

Oh no, I made a mistake, it's .mpg no .mov

Step by step :

- Reset the Rome.LNT
- Converting video to .MPG
- Rename file to Dump0000.m1v
- Place in Rome - Total War\Data\menu

Sorry dude, but nothing again. I dont know what i'm doing wrong but still the same. Only loading screen and no movie in main menu :-(

Well i did some litle progress. I converted this video to wmv renamed it to Dump0000.m1v but now this video stop playing in main menu. After start it stop and stay as some kind of screenshot or something like this.
What now?

Well it's working now. Video is just too big to play from begining and it takes more time to load into memory Thanks for your tips mat86. Thanks to you it's working.
Oh and btw it must be wmv (renamed to Dump0000.m1v). I hope to see you again.
