"I am good thank you, Good but busy, I am here on London business, as you probably know I am Mayor, and I'm working on certain aspects of the city, the first one being the rebuilding of defences which have fallen into some disrepair over the past few years. I had heard you constructed cannon and, well, it's my intention to purchase a few, if possible?"

The man did not stop but simply grabbed hold of Lothar and dragged him in through the gates and eventually led him into Lord Stafford's study...

    Welcome, mister?

William said, as he puffed casually on his wrapped up Rutland branch...

Well, I am always interested in expanding my business. What calibre would you prefer?

"Hmm," James thought for a moment, "For a city the size of London?" He scratched his head, "What would you suggest?"

I would recommend a few bombards, acompanied by a few demi-culverins.

William said and motioned for Baird to join him by the table, on which a mighty bottle of Anjou wine stood...

James followed William and nodded, "Yes, they might just do..." he turned to the Lord his face more serious, "London is a large city, I wish to protect every inch of her, how many shall I need and how much shall it cost me?" he asked plainly yet still polite...

Well, you'll certainly need a few.

    William said casually.

    They're not very cheap though.

Lothar looked at the man with a slight bit of disgust, though this was more due to the fact that he had obviously been dragged so roughly from the streets because of this man. He saw his lips moving and tapped his ear again,

    I cannae hear you!

Lothar frowned. Some body had talked.

Fine, but how do you know me?

I know you're a man of Raglan's loyal henchman, Cobham. Why were you ordered to follow me?

Lothar narrowed his eyes and bit his lip a little.

You told me who I am, but you haven't told me how you know of me. Who told you about me?

In the beginning of 1476, Lord William Stafford bought most of the company 'Cider & Wine' as well as 'Somerset Pipe Weed' from the old and now retired Lord Colville ( Former Lord Mayor of London, and Baron of Somerset), and the two became business partners. The cooperation between them proved very fruitful, for the plan they had produced turned out to be very successful. Slowly but steadily the strenghtened sense of competition combined with efficiency thinking, the vastly improved and expanded trade with other regions, the economy of both Oxfordshire and Somerset thrived. In Oxfordshire various small manufactures were now thriving; metallurgy, pottery, textiles. The locals also excelled in the arts associated with building constructions, and of course smithery...

We all have our own special methods, Lothar. Now answer my question and I will have you properly and safely escorted back to York.

William said, almost softly and respectfully.

    Lothar shrugged.

I don't know the exact details. Derrick knows it's best if he gives me a task and tells me nothing else. He told me to listen out for anything about York.

William nodded seriously. The man was telling him the truth, as far as William could see.

We shall journey back to York. I will be your personal escort.

William casually stood up and motioned for two of his men to bind Lothar's hands...

    Per cannon, of course.

    William smiled a bit.

I will however quite naturally provide you with a good price.

OOC: Thousands of florins, but thats only to keep it realistic. Our income system is a bit strange but one florin should be equal to...well, a lot of florins

"Ok, then, I shall place an order for," James thought momentarily, "Fifty cannon, if that is at all possible?"
