Like their typical grand strategy games? Appearance wise there's only so much you can do with looking at a map.

Well, it would be a buggy PoS for about 3 months that makes everyone who bought it rage about how the concept of SQA doesn't exist for Paradox, then after it's patched up it would look like their other map-based games. It really depends on if they would use an existing fantasy setting or make their own. In the latter case the answer would be "who knows?"

It's interesting to imagine how an LOTR or ASOIAF-based paradox game that looks a bit like EUIII would feel like.

It depends on how willing they are to commit to the storyline.
IMO Paradox has a good niche right where it is and shouldn't endanger it.

Nah king artgur actually has a battle engine...paradox typically doesnt.i would imagine it would be based on the eu engine like usual

I wouldn't mind seeing a EUIII style game set in the dragon age world, with start dates like the beginning of the blights, fall of Tevinter, Andraste's campaigns, the Exhalted marches etc.
