Default TWC EU clan to be active in Company Battles

This thread is for TWC Clan members on the EU Server. Please do not post in this thread unless you meet those criteria.

If you are not in the TWC clan but want to be have a read of this thread:
    here.

I could not see how to have multiple questions in the poll - just multiple answers....

As some of you may be aware part of the 7.0 patch will expand the "banding" of company battles. It is my hope that this will allow the TWC EU clan to become 'active' in that we can fight as a group of more than 2 or 3 as the current limitation on platoons. This will hopefully improve the enjoyment we get out of this game - after all random battles can be no fun.

The problem with the current company battle structure is that it needs players to have either tier 9 or 10 vehicles. Yes, you can play with lower tiers at the moment but you will be lilkey to be facing those higher tiers (and we all know what that feels like in random battles). While there are many active TWC players on the EU server few have tier 9 vehicles which has excluded us from getting more enjoyment from the game.

This is the blurb that is shown in the 7.0 patch notes:
    - Added Tier-limits for Tank Companies: Tier4, Tier6, Tier8 and Tier 10. For all these Tiers SPG Tier limits were added (in the next version same restrictions will be applied to light tanks)
This is the possible break down (where a point is the equivalent of the tier - so a MS-1 is 1 point and a T-28 is 4 points)

    up to tier 4 (tiers 1-4) - points 50
    up to tier 6 (tiers 1-6) - points 70
    up to tier 8 (tiers 1-8) - points 90

    So for instance (clearly there are other combinations);

With an 'up to tier 4' battle (50 points) we could have 12 tier 4 vehicles (12*4=48) and one tier 2 vehicle (50-48=2).

With a 'up to tier 6' battle (70 points) we could have 11 tier 6 vehicles (11*6=66) and one tier 4 (70-66=4).

With 'up to tier 8' battle (90 points) we could have 12 tier 8 vehicles (12*8=88) and one tier 2 vehicle (90-88=2).

There may be restrictions on what vehicles can be included in these company battles - such as SPGs and the new lights (T-50, T-50-2, VH2801 and M24 Chaffee). This has yet to be clarified. This is from the WoT forums posted by Overlord (Tier 5 lights will be excluded from 6/60 company battles.)

What I would like to do is to get an idea of if you are interested in playing in such battles, what banding you could supply vehicles for and what time(s) would suit you.

Edited: Maybe we need to define what 'evening' is? I would presume that most players will be either in the UK or to the East. So I guess 'evening' could be from 18:00 GMT or later. I guess also we may need to define how late you would be willing to play the game.

I would presume that we should be able to find at least one time slot that we could get a company together. I guess the next thing would be to find some opponents!

Edited (2): If we have more vehicles than we need for the company and we fight more than one battle in a row I would hope that we can use a strict 'rotation' system in that each player will take a turn at 'being on the bench'. No one person owns the clan.

The vehicles that I can use are as follows

    Tier 1 - 4
    Marder II (tier 3 TD)
    VK1602 (tier 5 LT)
    Pz Kpfw B2 740(f) (tier 4 ..)

    Tier 1 - 6
M4A3E2 (Jumbo Sherman) (tier 6 MT)
    M4A3E8 (Easy '8' Sherman) (tier 6 MT))
    KV-3 (tier 6 MT)

    Tier 8
    ISU-152 (tier 8 TD)
    Ferdinand (tier 8 TD)
    T28 (tier 8 TD)

    T-44 (tier 8 MT)
    Panther II (tier 8 MT)
    M26 Pershing (tier 8 MT)
    Type 59 (tier 8 MT)

Pz Kpfw VIB Tiger II (tier 8 HT)
    T-32 (tier 8 HT)
    Lowe (tier 8 HT)
    M6A2E1 (tier 8 HT)
    KV-5 (tier 8 HT)

I should also have a VK4502A soon which will replace my Tiger P. I will also soon get rid of the T32 - if I were to use a hevy it would be the Tiger II which I think I will retain.

I can play most evenings but it depends if I have late or early shifts. In late shifts I only get home 21h30-22h00 GMT+1.

    I can supply:

    TD's:
Up to tier 7 US TD's
Up to tier 9 Russain TD's

    Mediums:
Up to tier 8 German Medium & USSR medium
Up to tier 7 US Medium
    Tier 8 Chinese ...

    Heavy:
Up to Tiger II on German heavy side.
Up to tier X on USSR Heavy
Up to tier 8 on US Heavy
    + Lowe

    SPG:
    Tier 5 German arty
    Tier 7 USSR arty

All tanks are elite, I can purchase any old tank back if needed for the company

We really should be able to get in the tier 4 platoons at least, even a free player who plays rarely can still get a tier 4 easily ...

My play time is limited pretty much to Thursdays and Sundays, and some Saturdays; nevertheless I can bring the following: IS3, KV-3, KV, Churchill, T29 (soon T32), M4A3E8 Sherman, T40, Panther, VK3001H, VK3601H, Pz4 and a Hetzer.

Like falcon, I can basically play on most evenings, except Monday or Tuesday. It depends on what "evening" is supposed to be here, anyway.
My garage is mostly filled with tanks I am keeping for the eventual splits, so I have limited variety and no flexibility right now:
    Tier 1-4: none
Tier 1-6: KV, KV-3, Panzer IV, Jagdpanzer IV
    Tier 1-8: above plus T29, IS-3

KV, SU-85, Ram-II and soon a VK3601. But I have to get active again first.

Yes, we need to define what an evening is. I think it may be too soon to worry exactly what defines the evening at the moment. Maybe 18:00 GMT or a bit later - it depends where everyone is and the time zone that they are in.

I would think that getting an idea of who would be available to play when is better than getting an exact time. After all - 'day' is fairly expansive as well.

The other thing we may find is that we get a company together but can't find any opponents!

There is still a long way to go - I would presume we may like a semi-balanced team - some SPGs, some TDs, some lights, some mediums and some heavies.... We hmay find form experience that the other teams all play heavies!

    I can provide:

su-85, KV, KV-3, IS, VK3001P, Marder II, PZ IV, T82.
I could also rebuy some vehicles (if they don't cost too much)
I'm currently following the American TD line, the Soviet IS line and the German Tiger P line

Thanks for putting up this poll Brusilov. You can count me in anytime ! Cheers

It might be worth a question : Can anyone provide a TS or Ventrilo server ? I guess we will need something like that as I am not sure if the ingame voice chat is any good.

PS: Can bring tanks up to T 9

    1) there are plenty of free ts3 servers that work perfectly (the arma twc platoon used one)
    2) I have a ts2 server from a friend we could use.

I do have a headset and microphone but for whatever reason it does not work on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system. It works perfectly with Windows XP....

I suspect that it may be something to do with the Soundblaster X-Fi card I am using - despite having all the patches that I can find. I don't think I've tried to use it with either TeamSpeak3 or Ventrilo though.
