really weird modding question

i d like to change the warlord units to infantry (no prob)
i want to give the familymembers the gothic spearmen as unit (no prob)
i want the gothic spearmen to use swords or axes instead of spears - is that possible?
i noticed through a coincidence that sword units can use spears...i think when i assigned them phalanx..now can u get the gothic spearmen to appear with swords in the game??
if yes, how

also: i think it would be really cool for a following darthmod when the german general is a infantry unit. eg the spqr chosen axemen skin would be nice for a general infantry unit for the germans..just a thought

ok nvm..found it out on my own..now my general unit is infantry with the chosen axemen from SPQR
