Right so I guess I am back where I started from. I will write down the full query and hopefully someday since will find a solution to it and I will be able to play DMUC again.

I have downloaded DMUC 6.2 from multiple sites and have not found a single version which works on my laptop of PC’s windows 7 64 bit. Even with the link above all other files work but DMUC 6.2 doesn’t. It has been pointed out that the downloads are corrupt and I believe that might be right some forums to speak of file getting corrupt if down load gets interrupted. In that case I need a torrent.
Can anyone please tell me how i can get DMUC 6.2 torrent? My net is slow and i cant use the link (http://www.moddb.com/mods/darthmod-empire/downloads/darthmod-ultimate-commander-v62) as the download gets interrupted.

I have run the program as administrator and below are the answers to the questions raised to me from time to time.
a) What diagnostic are you running that tells you it's not Win7 app?
When I try to run the program windows tells me it’s not a win7 application. Below is attached the screen shot.
b) Could you please print screen the message and attach to your post?

c) Are you running it on work laptop or your personal?
I am running it on my personal Laptop.
Could you please check MD5 hash of your 6.2 full install for me?
DMUC 6.2 is not installed so i cant carry out this test.

Try to use another browser (better Internet Explorer) and download from http://www.moddb.com/mods/darthmod-empire/downloads/darthmod-ultimate-commander-v62

Do you know how to use torrent download software? I mean no disrespect. Highly recommend http://www.utorrent.com/. You should have no issues downloading mod this way.

Get utorrent, install, configure it per FAQ, and download DMUC 7 (it includes 6.2) torrent version.

i have been using utorret for ages but somehow i downloaded this link 2 times and both times got the same issue. one last thing i can do is use another pc to download just incase there is something wrong with my laptop.

Okay, good luck. Keep us posted. You could select only 6.2 full install file by deselecting other files included in the torrent.

Gentlemen I have finally been successful. I was able to download the file directly from the link without using the torrent. I disabled my screen saver, my antivirus, ensured the net does not get disconnected and wala!
