Although I believe in the essence of my argument, my way was unacceptable and my posts perilously close to flame baiting as someone noticed...

In the situation i can understand your repsonse Garb, the best of us can lose our cool. ckerr094 has shown himself to be a somewhat sexist member despite what he claims, the threads he has created show him to be sexist, even though he denies it and claims they are jokes. I for one do not find sexist threads funny, they bring down the tone of TWC. Hopefully this trend of sexist comments will die out soon, as it is not a good attitude.

I feel partly responsable for this due to my actions this morning. After posting in Sterns thread and then reading the doctor thread i perhaps set in motion some of the following events.(although it was just a matter of time). So with good grace i can not accept my patrons apology. i do not accept there is anything to apologise for, Garb only did what any of us should have done, in defending the good name of the curia, the members within, and the rights of a non civ to post here without feeling oppressed, molested or being insulted on the basis of gender. Garb may feel he brought disrepute to our ranks, but i say NO, he showed restaint and brought honour to us.

This thread can however serve another purpose, my sugestion is that any civitate who posted in either of the offensive threads, should look back at thier post and ask themselves if they would still like to stand by thier words, in which case i would like to see it discussed here. or if they wish to now retract and/or apologise to do so. i feel no need for people to berated or chided over this, anyone can make a mistake, but i would be very disapointed by any civitate who on reflection does not at least try to make recompence.

I would also like to feel that someone from the higher ranks has tried to contact Stern to reassure her(?) that those threds are not tolerated here. and especialy by those of us within the curia ranks.

And to add so you know i'm not vieing for any "new Crandar" tag, Angelina Jolie is imo a very naughty woman.

The fact that stern had to become a drama queen for a second there with her post is what I had to raise an eyebrow at. She essentially said "I'm leaving now because I am offended by some stuff, but I'll be back". Oh, you'll be back, huh? *shrug*...so...uh...why should I care then? Girls get way too much special treatment for just being girls, even on a forum where you cant see anybody's face or body. Just mention that youre a girl and youre loved by all, I cant think of anything more immature than that. So calling women sluts is bad now? More political correctness, great. I'll just say "sexually promiscuous" or "working girl" everytime I wish to deride a female.

My god I nearly went off on a rant there but I will not spoil Garbs thread, I will merely say tsk tsk slurs of any kind that generalise people by ethnicity sex or race are bad.
