    mini mod : 18 years before : 298BC-240BC

    must be installed RTR VII
    and if you already have, it is best to make a copy of the install
    (not mod foldered)

    you load the mini mod , make unzip
    you get a data file that you put in the folder RTRVII,
    He will ask you if you want to copy over the old data, you must answer yes to all
    then you destroy the file map.rwm in world / maps / base
    RTW to redo the new map.rwm.

    Thats great idea, what have you used for a map?
    Actually don't worry....I am going to download.
    Perhaps you could have Boii and Veneti in the north of Italae
    I would also be nice to be able to recruit the Sammnite legio linteata
    And perhaps Taras should be independent in 298
    Sorry don't mean to be a pain, just suggesting as you say its a beta, again nice work

    I used the map of FOE , I adapted it to RTR VII and reworked it for the mini mod .
    I agree that in 298BC Taras should be independent, but the AI ​​is mismanaging diplomacy and I want to be on the Epirus reacts to an attack on Taras.
    ---> I was hesitant to set up a faction "Magna Graecia" because it would also be "artificial" , all south italian Greek cities are independants ........maybe , I can add 3 other factions .

    With regards to Taras you could have them independent with a spawned Pyrrhus- army of Epirots-in the event of attack by Roma...perhaps?
    As for the legio linteata they were (for those who might not know) an elite of the Sammnites marked out by their bright white linen tunics
    In the south you could have Bruttii and Lucani perhaps, although the Consul Papirivs Cvsor accepts their surrender in 272, so historically their resistance as a faction is short lived

    - the Bruttians / Lucanian are there . In the south , you can see a blue/grey region between the Romans and Greeks with 2 settlements GRUMENTUM and paestum, but they are grouped in the faction "barbaroi" and not playable

    - for the legio linteata , the white unit can be rename with appropriate combat factors . ( Actually , it's "oscan infantry" with a little bonus factor )

    - for Taras, a spawned army with Pyrrhus and also give the control of the city to Epirus faction ,.... maybe , it's possible , I'm not sure

    for now, I test the beginnings for all factions to balance the initial placement .

    oups ,sorry , the names.txt isn't in right place

    go to the data folder , take names.txt and put this file in the folder "text"

    ( links is edited with the correction and some icons)

    PS : if you read the "some rules "
    for Helvetii and other "non siegesmith" factions there is a special rule , you don't use siege towers or sape points

    Interesting. I've always wanted to play something before 'Rome'. Will give this a shot one it's done.

    maybe you can increase the difficulty, because I heard VH campaign difficulty and H and VH battle difficulty are a little bit bugged...

    Yesterday, I made a start game test with the Etruscans (strat VH , Battle H ) ,4 regions at start, after 10 turns I had 5 regions and a Roman army was on its way to take me Ariminum
    ( I always play VH , H or VH with all mods )

    ....and that's only a beta version

    Great work I'm afraid I don't actually have HD space on my computer though, so I can't try it out Still, great initiative, it looks good.

    @Megas: If you increase the difficulty for one faction, they make it easier for the rest. If you increase the difficulty for all factions, the AI will also find it harder, which will make it easier
