    Same for all other questions in this thread, won't be able to respond before I get back home; I really only got online now to upload the schema file.

    As to support for pre-2.0 PFMs, I'm sorry but not going to be able to provide any.
    Is there a link to the uploaded schema?

    Hi all
    I guess we're screwed until daniu comes back home and made us a new pack reader.
    All we need for doing modifications on units for instance are in patch16 right?
    Bah.

    It's schema_3.zip in the OP of this thread.
    If you use the automatic db update function in the PFM, it should retrieve it automatically.

    I think what I worked on last was patch 14.
    I'm not entirely sure, but it's possible that you can create a mod from the lower version ones and it will still load and run fine.

    I'm really curious what causes the problems with 16.

    But in order to modify a FotS specific unit, I need to edit 15 or 16, no?

    Thanks!

    I don't see anything on 16, I can open it, but there seems to be nothing there. I'll see if I can open 15 now..

    There seems to be an error trying to open 15..

    9 of the last files in 15 can't be read.

    Not neccessarily.
    If you take the base stats from pack 14 (which already contains the FotS units), put it into a mod file and edit them there, it should overwrite the ones from pack 16. IF the game reads them okay.

    Hi again
    Maybe I'm missing something, but I opened patch14 and in unit_tables/units and unit_stats_land_tables/unit_stats_land there's no mention of these FotS units
    I guess they are in patch 15, but I cant open the file.
    Here's the error:

    I have an issue with patch15.pack... The newest version of the PFM don't want to load it, here a screenshot:

    The English translation of the German rows on top of the error is "System.IO [...]Exception: It can't be read beyond the end of the Stream".
    "bei" means "at"

    Hope You can give me a tip how to fix this... Application runned with Administrator Mode.

    This is an issue with the latest PFM being unable to read patch15.pack. I believe someone said it can open patch16.pack, though. In any case, use PFM v1.6.6 until daniu can update v2.0.3 for the new packs/db files .

    Whenever I try and make a new mod, it will not show the stuff on the right (the edible info), I can click on the individual "files" but they don't "open". Btw When I add files, ALL I do is add directory, should I be doing something else to?

    Read! The past several posts right above yours are about this.

    Basically: PFM has not yet been updated for the latest version of the game, so there are some files it can't read. You cannot fix this and you cannot mod some files until a new version of the PFM is released, unless you know a lot more about data sorting/parsing than your misguided question(s) would suggest. For the specific files that show up as "empty", read Anton's post two posts above yours.

    EDIT: Here are non-corrupted versions of the units, unit_stats_land and unit_stats_naval tables: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17271099/newtest2.pack

    You'll also want this customized schema file to read those: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17271099/newschema.xml

    Just my own little hotfix for personal modding to tide me over until the next PFM version comes up. Hopefully I didn't miss anything while uploading this stuff and it'll work as well for you as it does for me.

    Very intelligent what you did. It works! I will put you in my mod's credits. Thank you for sharing this!

    EDIT:
    Unfortunately the unit_stats_naval does not read well. It produces the following error for each line that tries to load:

    Hey Darth. Quick fix for you (a little imperfect as you lose the drop down box).

    Replace the units stats naval schema with this one.
    Code:
      <table name='unit_stats_naval_tables' >
        <field fkey='units_tables.Unit_ID' name='Unit IDRef' type='string' pk='true' />
        <field name='Morale' type='int' />
        <field name='Hull_Strength' type='int' />
        <field name='Crew_Size' type='int' />
        <field name='Admiral_Variant' type='optstring' />
        <field fkey='gun_types_tables.Gun ID' name='Cannon_Type_1' type='optstring' />
        <field fkey='gun_types_tables.Gun ID' name='Cannon_Type_2' type='optstring' />

    Thanks Knight.
    I tried the solution but did not work. Now it does not produce the previous error message but opens the internal HEx editor showing that there are other missing values.

    Default Re: Pack File Manager 2.0.3

    Okay uploaded Version 2.0.4.
    It's only been tested by me and I'm still thoroughly jetlagged so there probably still are some problems with it, but I managed to open patch 15 fine now and tried out some important tables like units_tables, unit_stats_land, unit_stats_naval and they seem to work.

    If you get the continuous DataGridExceptions, that is probably because a column that was assumed to relate to another one did in fact does, but this only becomes clear in FotS where they also have other values. I took out some of the fkeys from the schema (it's what establishes the relation), but there are probably still some superfluous ones. If you come across any, let me know.
    Note that they only work if all references are available in the currently open pack file, so if you work on a mod pack that only has few units and does not contain the tables to which the columns refer, you'll also run into this problem. Probably safest to disable to ComboBoxCells altogether in this case.
