That's a very good idea. The battle of Raszyn doesn't belong to the largest battles of that times but surely is a very interesting and important one. Especially that is considered by many as a tactical masterpiece.

Please dont miss the scene with Poniatosky , smoking a pipe and cape, with all the rest of high command performing a bayonet charge against oncoming Austrians, its by far the most bizarre Napoleonic scene ever filmed.

We need to make Poniatowski a dismountable general. I think something like 50 of charge value

That attack really took place so it's only artistic interpretation of real event.

I agree Poniatowski should be special type of commander

Not so easy to find o good battle map. This will need some improvisation for the units positions.

    Hello.

Let me introduce myself. My name's Foxhound and I'm a member of the HAWKs club, which is occupied with creating and playing modifications of American Conquest FB. We have a mod for Napoleonic Wars called HEW.. it has tons of units and stuff.. Like a special unit called Poniatowski, too
So, I'm the author of the map Ziuk has posted. I had done a version of this battle somewhere around June 2008, this one is an April 2009 version, made for the 200th anniversary of the battle.
Here's a package with images: of the historical map I used (from 1809; the author was a French engineer who took part in the battle. So this one seemed to be the most credible of all the different existing maps for this battle) and of my map, which is generally my interpretation of units placement and that sort of stuff. In terms of the terrain, it is in some 90% relevant to that French map. I did use some OOB's too, of course, but I had to adjust the actual numbers of troops to the possibilities of our game engine and also make the troop ratios playable for both sides.
While creating the map, I used a couple paintings that are widely known to give the unique places their appropriate character, like this hill where Poniatowski and his staff stood:

And here's the link to the STUFF mentioned: http://www.gamefront.com/files/21063...zyn_images.rar

If you should have any questions, feel free to ask
