Default why can't you bribe other romans?

playing as julian in 355 campaign. have in mind a little roleplay and it has become 361 when the constantini automatically declare war. wanted to bribe a whole army over my side standing in front of constantinople and have them help me conquer it and declare julian the true empeorer but the option seems to have been disabled. I want to RE-ENABLE it.

No, you can't bribe other romans, I tried it as well and I had 200 000 at that moment.

Well explain it again, this time properly and in decent sentances.

/ I've edited your post since that kind of talk is not accepted here at the TWC. However, I do recognize that RedGuard was, in the post above, a bit harsh on you. After all, you were only trying to help. So, the matter ends here. Let's all try to be nice to each other, OK.

He means that in the diplomacy window there is no option for 'bribe'. he answer is YOU CAN'T ENABLE IT, this is because in the last patch by CA they made it hardcoded that the two romans would be allied (something to do with the line 'superpower' in the descr_strat I believe....) I looked around for a while and found no actual solution that was not buggy or did not require a PhD in modding to get right, so basically it is impossible.

    Answered your question?

P.S In future try to be a bit more civil when dealing with fellow TWC members, maybe you are not a native english speaker, but to me at least and to total war lover your post was quite aggressive, and yes, grammar is important as people hate reading walls of solid non-stop text.

    Cheers

It would be too easy! if you can birbe the enemy army in a Civil War there would be no fun!

As BLIP99 have already explained, this is not something that's been disabled for SAI.

Sorry for my overly aggresive response. Thanks for not giving infractions Joar, and thanks for saying what I thought in a polite way BLIP99

Not even most English speakers would get that! I think he's a marine, and JJDIDTIEBUCKLE is an acronym for USMC values, with each letter representing something (Justice, judgment, dependability, etc etc) with "tact" representing the "T".

Just a friendly reminder to Red Guard to use a little tact.

thanks i'll keep that in mind lol. and total war lover i didn't see what you posted before it was changed but let me just say i reread what i put and sorry for being a ass. i got a little frustrated because it took a while for the post to get answered and when it did it wasn't the answer i wanted.

I must have played a pre-patched BI for a long time because i remember being able to bribe.

Strange! I have an old RTW-BI-GOLD EDITION and in vanilla BI I can birbe! maybe different editions in different countries (my Italian)?

You can bribe. I've had this discussion before with another guy, but we couldn't really figure out what's wrong. I know julianus heraclius hasn't changed anything ( I don't even think you can edit out the ability to bribe entirely, except to take away the diplomats ).

I remember several years ago I had the same problem with IBFD, but after giving myself a large amount of money, it worked. Though I'm not sure that's what fixed it.

I have never been able to bribe Romans either, besides if they are supporting a usurper they are better off dead so I will assassinate them.
Besides never have enough money to bribe a family member

    assassination is for barbarians.

I hold to killing them on the battlefield, beheading the corpses, and putting them on a pike
I haz a culler!! (really, who gives a darn? its totally meaningless, and it doesn't really accurately reflect who I am)

There's always kill_character to represent execution (which is roughly equal to assasination, when it comes to imperial Rome).

Yet I like sending men I don't like to die an honorable death by charging them into enemy lines unsupported.
