In my Silvan campaign Thranduil went nuts and destroyed 5 outposts in 10 in-game days. And then nothing happened for 100 days. And then I got bored and started over.
I Just defended Cair Andros against 500 Orcs,
It was awesome

yeah, deffending cair andros it´s awesome, i did it two time allready. although i seem to be having the same problem than most of the people here: my factions sits down and does nothing. i mean, it was pretty hard to get Gondor to be unmatched against four direct enemies, and now that they are pretty weakened (Umbar and Harad are Fair, Mordor is Strong i think, and i have no idea of what is Khand´s status), my generals refuse to start sieging their settlements! they aren´t even hunting down their armies! they just sit down in their cities and jerk off all day! and i am in need to go to Rohan and help them against Isengard, but i fear that if i do that, then all my work here will go to waste. has anyone had this problem before with Gondor? and if so, how did you dealt with it?
well, until the next version I fear nothing could be done. I quit playing Gondor after one incredibly frustrationg moment. Imrahil and three more lords finally gathered for a war campaign an of all places went to Orc Patrol camp. I managed somehow to escort them through thousands of Orcs and Easterlings prowling on Dagorland. In the end Imrahil reached the Camp, besieged it, and instantly went off to Dol Amroth, as if just touching the walls and quickly hurrying back.
Well, it's still a beta, after all

Just put 100 Gondor archers in a straight line and the will pwn everything, and the few that survive get overrun by my Gondor and Swan Knights

My tactics as Rohan; full army of horse archers, they shoot the enemies down and then charge in melee....no chance anyone could survive that
You consider that ''tactics''???
No to be honest: the game is unplayable for me without riding on a horse together with some homies on a horse as well. . First time I played the game as an orc and encountered some horse masters, I was like: ''oh hell no, screw this shizzle''.

sorry, awnserd
funny that you say that. rigth after i posted my message, i loaded my campaing and Prince Imrahil gathered all the lord that are left (except for Denethor, who never seems to move that ass of him out of that damn chair, and "who-even-acres the Fat", who died pretty early in my campaing). i just happened to run into them, i and joined in their attack against Mordor. the results: we beat the crap out of many of their generals, including Gothmog and some random Haradrim chieftain that just happened to be staying in Orc Sentry Camp, and then we stormed the settlement and burned it to the ground, all with minimal looses. now we are heading to Orc Patrol Camp, which appears to be a bigger challenge due to the many Mordor War parties lurking in the area, plus the near presence of Khand.
