Aye, to the Green Dragon and Golden Perch, best beer in the Shire.

And Dorwinion afterwards! Or the wine cellar of Thranduil, alternatively.
Lol...Actually, the Shire wouldn't be too bad to visit...I'd feel tall

See, the folks in Arda should have gotten on that. Could have sold a nice cruise package with that list.

The ruins of Ost-in-Edhil in the Third Age. It would be like exploring ancient greece today - distant echoes of former glory.

*unless of course Sauron removed all traces of the city, like Rome did to Carthage

Hmm, ancient Greece might be the wrong analogy. I make the ruins of Ost-in-Edhil to be over 4000 years old by the end of the Third Age! Not much left to see I suppose.

Sure there's something to see! Karnak is 4000 years old and still in good shape.
Also in opposite to say, the Acropolis or Troy no further fightings has damage the ruins, they haven't been used as quarry and no new settlement was build upon the ruins.

I am off to see the Fortress of the Eldar then. I might be able to follow the old road that follows the Sirannon. Byeeeeee!

I would like to see the Gardens of Lorien and the Pastures of Yavanna.

On a less merry note I would also like to have seen Thangorodrim in its heyday, to get a better appreciation of what a very seperate minded Valar would create with their power.

Osgiliath had the Dome of Stars... That would've been breathtaking. Minas Ithil & Anor would've both been good too, but Ogiliath was the main city of Gondor during the height of their power. That's what I would want to see

I say the Shire is Tolkien's metaphor for the grassy hills and farmlands of the English countryside where he lived as a kid- POINT being, England is closer than MiddleEarth

Lets not forget the Crystal Caves of Aglardond, which left Legolas for days, after visiting with Gimli.

Of course. Much of Middle Earth matches places throughout the world, geographically and culturally.

I would definitely have to say Gondolin such a beautiful awesome city

The tale of Legio IV Flavia Felix: After cowardice during the Revolt of 69-70 AD the IV Macedonian was reconstituted and renamed IV Flavia Felix, or "lucky legion" signifying its luck at not being dishonorably disbanded.
