    that looks kick ass man!
though if just a small suggestion, is it possible to have both red and blue uniforms in 1 unit? or not? because if it isnt its still pretty cool

The US will gladly step up to become the world police when there is oil involved, yet they will resign the second there is a genocide in Africa, a slaughter in an allied nation, or a massacre committed by dictators, all who's nations have nothing to offer, but the gratitude of the people to the international community for reaching out.

    Looking great!!

I was thinking that the ottomans could use a cheap cav unit like arab/bedouin cavalry (basically bedouins with spears/lances) as a scouting unit maybe, like the cossacks are for the russians.

Yes I understand however, having a camel unit as a scouting unit doesnt work as they are slower than the rest of your army !

If truth be told, the bedouins that fought with the mamelukes and ottomans during the invasion of Egypt were actually predominantly mounted on horses (very small and swift ones) and not camels. They actually scouted and harassed the French in much the same way the cossacks did in the invasion of Russia, carrying spears and lances. Maybe keep the camel unit but to be more historically accurate, an arab/bedouin cavalry unit would be more appropriate and indeed much more useful in battle.

All that would need to be done for a unit like this is to use the same model as the bedouin camel gunners/bedouin militia, mount them on horses and give them a lance.

iirc, the ottomans didnt use camels very much in europe after the first siege of vienna, the camels got sick from the weather and were then changed from a military role to a logistics role.

regarding Lances and Spears, most of the Ottoman cavalry carried pistols and muskets. Deli Horsemen would carry up to 5 (rapid fire without reloading) and mamlukes would carry 2. Arabian Cavalry would just carry muskets

Im talking specifically about the bedouin tribes during the Egypt invasion that formed part of the mameluke and Ottoman armies and raiding parties. I have read references to them as using spears but not anything referring to them having firearms. The mamluks however, carried many firearms and fired them on the charge, as i'm sure you know.

Nice pictures - shame they are much later than the Naploenic period...

Im not quite sure what you are trying to say? Im not talking about camel gunners, i know there were camel gunners in the napoleonic peroid but im talking about the bedouin cavalry - the horsemen that were much more prominent at the time! Some of the horsemen may have carried firearms as well as spears.

there no camles in europe, not for a military role, the weather was not suited for them and they were mostly used for logistical reasons.

Hm, but there are Egyptian maps in the mod. Wouldn't that suit the camels ? That and the fancy pyramids !

That is true - there are quite a few Desert maps so perhaps Camels should stay, although not as a scouting unit ofcourse . Bedouin cavalry unit would also be ideal in the desert battles.

well camels should lower the morale of war horses, but they should be easily out manouvered by cav, but shouldnt tire as quick, make it like they have gain fatigue quicker on foresty maps and then resist fatigue on desert
