Default Historical Battles ~ First Campaign ~ RIVOLI

I've started working on this beatiful battle. The map is looking tremendous with the Adige valley and the high mountains above the narrow path to the Rivoli plateau.
Units and OOB are already ready (most of the work borrowed from Marengo)

Some preview of the cavalry, this is going to be an infantry battle, but nonetheless cavalry is gorgeous, especially the austrian hussars. First we see the "Guides de Napoleon", the brother of the yet to come Chasseurs à Cheval de la Garde (it took me sometime cause I had to change the horse artillery model, I will prolly change the officer look):

Next the 4th Hussars lead by Lasalle himself:

Nothing special about the 8th Dragoons

New looking instead for the heavy Cavalerie de Bataille which will turn later into Cuirassiers

The 22nd Chasseurs à cheval is missing, I have to work a bit more on the uniform

    Let's move to Austrian cavalry:

    Meszaros Hulans squadron

    The Stabdragoner

Hussar num. 8 Wurmser (I love the parrot green pelisse on puppet red breeches, black Shako)

Hussar 9. Erdody is similar but with dark green pelisse/dolman and dark red trousers.

Finally the Hussar 2. Wurmser (light blue pelisse/dolman/trousers and red shako) officer and trumpeteer wear yellow breeches. We know how fancy those hussars liked to appear in battle.

Almost there with Rivoli. Map needs just some polish:

A view from Monte Ligino (last stand of the 1st column coming from Affi at the end of the battle)
You can see the many features of this very technical map:

    1) Rivoli little town is on the foreground center with La Villa house to its left. On the right lies the Adige River valley while Monte Magnone (with the chapel of San Marco on top) stands between the Adige and the Rivoli plateau. On the left you can see some wooden hills (running like a semicircle around Rivoli) dividing the plateau from the Tasso Stream valley. On the background center and left you can find snow capped Monte Baldo.

View from the Adige valley looking towards the rocky climb of Incanale.

View down from the ruins of the ancient castle to the Incanale. You can easily understand why just one demi brigade could stand the pression of the 4th and 5th austrian columns.

Monte Magnone is where the 4th austrian column came from, so yes. Monte Baldo is on the map border so little sense to move there. Monte Pastello is unpassable. I opened a mountain trail from the Adige river valley leading to San Marco Chapel on Monte Magnone. This way austria can choose a different approach moving more troops up there. But don't hope to run with cavalry and artillery there, malus is huge on mountain path. Such a path existed in reality (even if not in that position) and austrian moved up part of 4th column the day before the battle.

What I have little time to care about are the high mountains north of the map and the lake west of it, but this implies to change layer 1/2/3 by hand. The landscape will be less dramatic than the real one

LEGIO_Desaix, If you are interested, I can share with you my models for Italian Campaigne, which I made by transferring a number of elements (grenzer hat, spanish shako with plumes on its side, etc.) in french_rep_ita base. I used also your models of NTW3 v1.
for example, guides-hussards of Italian Army.
