Because of the lack of an actual campaign I ignored this game but it seems they have released a lot of DLC for it, including a galactic Conquest like campaign, does any one know if its any good?

Worth it, although it is very hard. Player created fleets will roam the place and they range from fleets consisting of 3 frigates to 20 tank cruisers with ultra armor and nanorepair systems.
