Can't Install :(

I made a copy of my rome total war folder and called it "Terrae_expugnandae", overwrote the modded files with original backups and installed to the data folder. Whenever i try to play Imperial_campaign it doesn't work and the error message is "unexpected start date of campaign or battle" at line 28, column 1 in descr_strat. Neither custome battle works, PLS HELP!

P.S. all the modded files were export_descr_units/buildings.txt, descr_cultures, and descr_strat which i overwrote with originals. They should've been overwritten by the mod installation anyway.

I would say just uninstall the game and reinstall it and make the multiple installs.

It means that descr_strat.txt has an error in it at the top, so i would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling.

Well yes, but if its giving that error its suggesting it should be installed over a clean RTW 1.5, did you have any mods installed when you tried to install 4.0?

i deleted the options bi line at the top and it works. thanks for quick replies

That means you are installing it over a RTW 1.3, you will need the options bi line in the game in 1.5 to get night battles, i would recommend reinstalling then patching up to 1.5

that's strange, i'm sure i have 1.5. i don't like night battles anyway, however, would it crash if i play one? Or is it impossible to play them in the first place?

Well options bi is the line in 1.5 you need to enable the ability to fight night battles in the campaign, if it is crashing because it doesn't recoginise it then it means you are installing my mod over 1.3. Which is not good as my mod is designed for 1.5, you may experience more CTDS.
