    Default Crash at Papal Elections in Hotseat Campaign

    hi

    we are playing a hotseat campaign and now at turn # 95

    there are only two catholic factions left Castille and Denmark, and this turn arises the papal elections window. It does not matter which candidate I vote, I get "Medieval has encountered an unespecified error and will now exit" error.

    any help would be highly appreciated

    Are one of you playing as the papal states?

    Could i have a log report?

    How many cardinals are there involved in the elections?

    Thank you very much for your interest. We are truly dissapointed with this issue after playing 2 years this game

    No, there is no human player managing Papal States. In fact Papal States did not have any settlement for the last 40 turns or so. Also it may help to say Denmark was excommunicated.

    I guess you need the log of the last player who ended turn succesfully? I will post it here asap.

    thanks again mate

    have you tryed pressing the end of turn button, instead of doing the election, this should be possible, although i dont know what would happen come the next turn!

    Yes I did. Even I managed to play some battles of the turn (autoresolved), but when I pressed end turn it crashed.

    One thing I will try to do is to ask the hotseat admin to load last turn and move_character of a diplomat near the pope to give him a settlement, but dunno...

    have you got a log report yet, it would help to see what is the cause of the crash, add this to your .cfg file located in the mods main folder, then replay the crash, compress the log and add as an attatchment.

    Code:
    [log]
    to = logs/M2TW.system.log.txt
    level = * trace

    unfortunatly there is no indication there of why it is crashing, maybe you can go back to a save from about 10 turns before?

    sorry for triple post

    To achieve pressing end turn I had to kill my own cardinal in a sea battle.

    Well from what i can make out, there is a greek event that looks the likely cause of the crash, it could be a trait trigger where a family member has been killed in battle or possibly an agent. Apparantly there are one or two dodgy trait triggers that CA have left in, although i have never encountered any myself! What you could do is open the cheat console and turn the FOW off, toogle_fow, is the command. Then end the turn and see what is happening over the byzantine empire territory and you could try to move some of their characters about. This may help, you could also give me another log with the FOW turned up aswell, hopefully it will give me something abit more precise!

    Well, being a hotseat game I have no access to the consoler nor the byzantine turn. But yes last turn I sunk a fleet with his king and prince onboard.

    Can you go back to save before this happened?
