The party consisting of, King Phillip VI, his wife Joan of Burgundy and the soon to be wed Louis of Anjo arrive in Malta after a tiring trip across the Mediterranean. The King brings gifts for the couple equating to a few baronies in mainland Valois and a numerous amount of deeds to various royal residences across Valois holdings.

Louis is taken into a tent until the ceremony, forbidden from seeing his soon to be wife whilst the King finalised the preparations with the other party.

A Moroccan emissary arrives and give the Maltese princess a gift of iron sculptures, as well as a letter to both families explaining that as this is a Catholic wedding the Sultan will not make things awkward with a representative, however do to the good relations with Malta he wished to express his congratulations to both families.

Großmeister Wilhelm Becker, head of the Order of St. Boniface, is sent to represent Köln, as the main branch of the royal family are busy at other weddings (and Johannes doesn't trust any of his siblings or their families). He brings a gift for Louis - a perfect steel sword, forged with steel from Köln by the finest smithies the Order of St. Boniface has. The pommel is inlaid with a large sapphire, representing the blue of Valois and Köln.

OOC: Köln is pretty much the producer of the best steel outside of Damascus (historically the area has always had lots of iron and steel) and the Order of St. Boniface, like any Christian Order, has incredibly good equipment, so this sword is awesome

Two Nabudis diplomats are sent to the wedding to represent the Kingdom. They go over to the Valois party and speak with their allies, bringing the groom a small gift of artwork and a toledo sword.

The Bride is sent to the chapel, to meet the groom

Meanwhile, King Charlu finalizes all of the gifts that are being presented to the Bride

Louis takes the time before the ceremony to quickly test the sword out, taking care not to ruin his specially fitted clothes. He runs over to thank the Großmeister, bowing courteously and discussing their new-found alliance for a little while before being dragged inside for the ceremony.

Louis also takes the time to thank and converse with the Nabudi's, taking a few swings of the sword before being again dragged to the ceremony. The Nubudi's are reserved seats near the front of the hall, a few seats from the families of the bride and groom.

King Phillip and his wife take their seats, with the groom waiting by the altar with the Bishop/Vicar. Phillip begins to discuss with the bride's family the 'gift' they had prepared for the couple, the Duchy of Blois.

OOC: It usually is that the bride is incorporated into the Grooms family, so I would control the Duchy however you would be entitled to have a claim to it in the future and can use her influence within the duchy/nation if you wanted to.

Phillip smiled, before nodding and settling into his seat, signalling for everyone to find their seats.

"That is great news, I hope that all is ready to begin?"

OOC: What an interesting wedding indeed.

The guests rose as the couples exchanged their vows, clapping as the couple were escorted to their private chambers and had said their goodbyes to those who had given them gifts and spoken to them.

King Phillip went to chat about politics with King Charlu, whilst their wives began talking about womanly things near the buffet tables.

Wilhelm Becker, seeing the ceremony has ended, politely exchanges his goodbyes before leaving for Vienna.
