I modded the Gaul priests a bit :
I added them a chainmail , a checkered pattern and I whitened their beard so they look older a bit.

Now this isn't exactly a request--it's more a technical question, seeing as you clearly know something about skeletons: is it possible to change the point of impact of a melee weapon? or is it hard-coded somehow?
as it is, I am trying to create a pikeman, who does not require a phalanx*, but who can still use a pike tactically to keep the enemy at a distance. so far, everything is OK: I've disabled the walking, I figured out a way of simulating people getting impaled on the pike tips, and well, almost everything the pikeman could actually do. That is, until I get to the part when it's time to engage in combat itself: the soldiers do absolutely nothing, and have no effect whatsoever, till the enemy opposite them men themselves is ~1-1.5 meters away, well inside the point of the pike (i.e. safe from being poked in RL). If I can get them to do damage on contact with the pike heads, my job would be complete. If not, at least a stab was taken at the problem.
* I know, quixotic, but I have my reasons for trying.

Interesting question, as I have wondered about it as well. I tried to find, but there doesn't seem to be a way to make this happen as far as I'm aware of. The length of the weapons doesn't matter much, as they only activate the attacking animations in a decent distance. Would be great to have a way to change this.

Also the color of the shield can be change to black (the bird color remain the same). The last thing is you should add the outer white stripe for
PS: Are you as generous to made another versions of that guy? One version armed with bow (normal bow in vanilla) instead of javelin and one version armed with halber only like the halberdier you made for me

I'm working on the reconstruction of a helmet called The Bandhelm helmet with Pompeius Magnus (a fellow modder and Knappen), and this is what has been done so far,

For now I plan to fix the chainmail and add leather strips on the edges. And since it's obviously high poly, it won't be used on any unit with it's current model.

i love this helmet...very detailed one...you can always retopo this one and make chainmail by texture so you can use it in game

Thanks. And yes, I can, but since this is a reconstruction, rather than a helmet to use in game, I plan to make it as realistic and detailed as possible. Though if someone wants that to happen, I can unsmooth the meshes and, as you said, replace a textured chainmail, and it should still look good enough.![]()

so you will add more details in zbrush or you will just continue to cut mesh in 3d max?
