    Default Ferrum Aeterni

    hello
    i've just installed Ferrum Aeterni and applied RBAI onto it (it's my first time...)
    and i'm not sure it's really bad ai fault

    however
    I'm playing as the Normans in South italy, and i'm defending Ajaccio from Pope's troops,
    now, since castle has a double wall ring, i put my archers on the external walls, and when the ram comes at the gate i order them to flee onto the inner walls...
    i've tried it several times, and archers seem to love outer walls a little bit too much, when they don't get stuck close to a building which is at a crossroad (maybe it's the brothel..?)

    Does it Depends on FA or RBAI? can it be fixed somehow?
    thanks ye all

    lil update:
    i could manage to get my archers on inner walls in time (step by step..).. and.. my gates didn't close...
    and computer didn't realize it till it laid the ladders on walls... moreover it was having three units standing close the walls. so that my archers practiced a lil bit.. (though it was all useless cause i was a lil bit outnumbered...)

    @malato

    Thanks for the info, setting up proper AI behaviour for attacking settlements is really tough as there's only one setting and all kinds of settlements... although AI should attack pretty quickly... unless it has nobody to fight with, then it gets a bit slow.

    As for pathfinding - that's the everlasting problem of MTW - not because it's bad, it just needed lower requirement of % formed when moving from walls down and then a simple stall check- which CA didn't do.

    I made such solution for AI, player still needs to reissue orders.

    Regards
    I have no memory of this place.
