    Default Military Reform

Okay, the last battle has made me realise that the current battle system is horrible. So, I will post two possible options:

    1. Use the current battle system, and add a casualty trickleback system which will make unit qualities actually matter. Types will still not matter much, though logic will still be used in casualty distribution.

    2. Remove rolls altogether and use ONLY logic to do battles. This would mean that battles will take longer (players must be present to give orders), but it also means that it would be less mod-intensive (little numbers inolved) and it means that unit types and qualities will actually be taken into account.

I agree with 2 as well, but this poll is so that nobody can say I'm making it my game and not giving players a choice.

Yep, 2nd looks good, as long as some players don't abuse it.

I will have to say 2. If not then someone will just mass train hundreds of thousands of Elite Light Infantry/Spearmen and mob any enemy army.

"She's ahead of the litter all right. The pick of the litter. The cat's pajamas. Oh wait. Why would Applejack take some poor kitty's pj's? That's not very sporting of her."
"More balloons! No, that's too many balloons. More candy! No, less candy. Ooh! I know! Streamers!"
"Oh my gosh. Hold on to your hooves – I am just about to be brilliant!"

They can only be purchased at a Knights of Camelot Chapter House. Please, stop your war with Britannia and try again.

What's wrong with the oldest system? Use rolls, then logic to take into account unit types, qualities, terrain and tactics. Not having rolls means it will be pretty much impossible for a large force to lose to a smaller one.

No, it's not trust me, i know i'm a fair battle mod, and numbers truly don't count for anything. Unless your army is like 50 times bigger.

It dose depend I agree with Jakev maybe we could use a roll just to determine luck and then logic for unit types and qualitys

Yes, but a battle where an army 10x the size of another loses terribly due to bad rolls is frankly ridiculous, and unless we let the mods just reroll until they get a logical result it's idiotic. If we let the mods reroll over and over, we may as well ditch rolls completely.

Also, luck means nothing, I don't even believe in luck. Strategy means everything in war, and with the current system strategy isn't taken into account. Also, unit types aren't at all taken into account.
