The armies could be distinguished by letting their soldiers wear colorful sashes, armbands and feathers for hats and helmets, like for example, yellow-blue for Sweden, white-blue for the Catholic League.

hi guys sorry for the delay in replying had a few pc probs so could not get online . But all fixed now.

Below screen shot of the new trousers think they look passable now And a new model too also most completed in milksahpe of a electoral saxony cuirassier .

hi Oggie more a bit of a change still working on models though for RV thanks too.

Hi Port once i got them sorted will let you know can not remember if i rep you last time but will rep you again anyway for your offer .

Hi Ensis1410 depends what you mean by fix the husarie can nit fix the lance on him even though i can give him a lance like those for simple reason when they are in melee they stab with lance and the lance would then be upside down he be stabbing at them with the part in his hand ,due to the animation hope that makes sense .

Hi panzerschreck the saxon cuirassier does look good and did see his pic before i had pc probs and had started to make model for him you can see him below in the screen shot in milkshape but still got to work on his textures .Thanks too for the pictures for loading screens +Rep for your help too .

Hi Pinarius i will be using the existing factions in etw might beable to activate a few more german states if they exist in emerging factions list . I will look into grouping factions but i am hoping to keep them seperate states and maybe just have catholic league standard troops available to cathlic german states be a bit cheaper but not as good say as their own troops available to them . Yes i was thinking about faction flashing plumes sashes and maybe one arm on the models so you can tell they a different facion might beable to see in video with swedish pikemen i had started todo that .thanks too for the links for possible loading screens also + Rep

thanks Rolling Thunder and puelladeluxe glad you like it so far.

Thank you wangrin your model does look good i had already started on working on the saxon cuirassier so i will see how the one i have started to make works in game first but would like to use your base model too for another unit i have in mind will give full credit too thanks and +Rep for your offer very much apreciated .

Hi General Brewster had not thought about flags or size of flags but looks like Primergy has already sorted out that question the link is
    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=471916

Hi Primergy thank you too does look good +Rep too for allowing me to use it and will give credit too . I will make you a special model for one of your overhauls when i have time too as an extra thank you but upto you if you use him

    Hope i have answered everything

    takecare for now

I'm very impressed by the model, adrian74!

Interesting equipment-photos, panzerschreck! If you ever happen to visit Austria and Graz, you have to pay a visit to the armoury there which is - according to wikipedia - the largest existing original armoury in the whole world (due to the need and responsibility of the Styrian estates to defend against the Ottomans). The interesting thing is that the arsenal building is "original" and that all the stuff is stored/arranged in the way that it has been stored historically. The biggest part of the pieces there stem from the 17th century and I find it interesting for it's mass-ware, not precious/ceremonial armour only. Example-photo of the page linked above:

(a google-picture-search on "Landeszeughaus Graz" also brings about lots of examples of 17th century armour)

As for the other pictures (also loading screens), I'd stick to contemporary artwork. I'm not very fond of 19th and 20th century pictures that supposedly show soldiers of anachronistic nations (What the heck was an "Austrian" soldier in the early 17th century? And what exactly on him does make him look "austrian"?...). It's also funny to see that the painter of the "Croatian Cavalryman, 1630", as well as the painter of the "Croatian light horseman, arround 1645" have both taken the "Croatian horseman, 1630-1"-dummy (which is standing in the military museum in Vienna) as their model. (just as a sidenote looking at him: the german as well as the french word for "tie" (Krawatte/cravate) refers to the croatian fashion)

Do you already know what factions the mod will feature, adrian74? As for the models, I think you don't need to fall a victim to a "nation-customisation-freak-out". Pretty much the soldiers of all factions looked the same. Sure, some variation would be nice, and the middle/eastern troops need their distinctive look, but apart from that, I think you can save a lot of time and work.
