I'd just like to point out how there has been the limit in modding E:TW, ESPECIALLY when it comes to mapping. I mean, I know most of us here have wished/are wishing for a mod that would make the world map (or at least make a new theater) visible and have new countries created. During E:TW's timeline, political affairs were worldwide, and so are military ones. Remember the Seven Years' War. The British attacked the Philippines (Manila, actually) and let Spain make Bacolor, Pampanga as its temp. capital. Not to mention, Filipinos at the time were making riots against the Spanish during the 1700's (although almost none were turned to rebellions). The Spanish attacked Portugal from home and colony (Amazonia). If there is any more actions during the colonial part of the war, feel free to add more.
For Brazil (Amazonia), the mod Imperium Globale (wasn't it that?) made it visible in the diplomacy window. However, there was no land to show. No land borders or whatnot. It was making Portugal a lot of money, from what I've read. Its major cities (had there been a map) would be Belém do Pará, São Luís, Recife, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and São Pedro.
The Philippines... Hmmm...
Perla del Mar de Oriente, as the Spanish would like to put it. The Philippines (had it given a place in the game campaign map) would be made of the three island groups: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Luzon and Visayas would be ruled by Spain (New Spain would have to be merged with Spain) with their region capitals in Manila and Cebu, respectively. Mindanao would have Jolo as its capital, having the Sulu Sultanate rule over the entire island group.
For the rest of the colonies, I would have to talk about them later in the morning, for it's almost 11:30 PM here from where I live.
My point here is: "With the data CA released a few months back, can modding for maps and countries be possible?"
Thank you for reading this. Feel free to reply.![]()
