animation hotfix

For those who have downloaded the game, here is a pre 0.89 animations hotfix,these files go into the rvtw\data\animations folder, I am not sure if you need to extract the animations first for these to work. For that you will need vercingetorex's extractor.

If you see no different in the battles your going to need to extract the animations before you copy and paste them, sorry, thought it would be easier than that...if you need help extracting the animations from the animations folder let me know.

I am going to try something different, If this works, It will make updates a whole lot easier. You need to put this in your RVTW/Data folder, make sure you make a copy of the original first incase this does not work...then copy this folder and paste it into that folder, it should ask to overwrite...say yes to all..let me know if it works, The battles will be a little more realistic, I concontrated most of my efforts on swords, spearmen, and hoplites..I only play custom battles. When the loading screen for custom battle stops, hit enter 8-9 times..it should work. This mod is still reasonably young so there is still bugs, but the new anims will give you an idea as to where we are going with this mod.

EDIT 2: now i see a little different, like the group leader jumped at charging, archer animations... that's it... can you please tell me the full installation with a pic? thanks

Obviously you havn't installed it properly, seeing that the fighting is twice the battle, better Sequenced , and more entertaning. To much done to even write. You should wait for Jmilan to complete the easy installation.

Hey guys I have just downloaded Roma Vicit 0.88 and tried install the animation pack. While extracting it is telling me there are some errors and could not extract everything. Also I m not seeing any different either even from downloadind from the first link.

I'm not sure what to even tell you. The animations work brilliant on my little lap top, so I don't see why they would not work on your computer. Iam running win 7, with only 4gb memory. I am almost positive that your not installing them right, All you need to do is install the folder and make a short cut to the desktop. There are alot of folders that are extra that you don't evn need to touch. I have not touched the Model battles, so that does not need to be fixed either. I think that there is a pack extractor in the folder...did you put the animations folder in the RVTW\data folder?....your shortcut needs to point to the RVTW folder, not the Rome Folder, I had a little trouble with this as well. Could youtell me what errors were?

Well I think that I should re install the mod. I think I ve made a mistake while installing or something like that. What I did for sure was that I copied the data folder of RVTW and pasted on RTW folder.

So I guess you have to reinstall the whole game now, since the vanilla data has been corrupted.

Ok I have fixed the problem guys . Sry didn't respond sooner but had to do a lot of school work. New animations are great . Can t wait for 0.89!

progress on the animations is slow as I drive Long Haul for a living, this leaves me the evenings to animate, and not all eveneings I feel up to it. I have however been redoing the horses again as I was never satisfied with the first ones, the new fixes are great. When I get a chance I will upload them.
