    But the glory is for the Modders Danevang and Modstus who made the initial Sea/Land Relief maps.
    That saved me great amount of work..
    I just put them together and adapted them to work in a map pack, also made them compatible for the newest patch 3.06(Lots of nice map changes!)

    Icon7 Your help is wanted for the AHOI-Mod

    Hi,
    I just thought it would be nice to have the next patch coming out in the best way possible.
    And for that, I would like to have some people playtest it and give me feedback where it can be improved.
    I have in mind to test all the functionalities like the balancing of the new units and the techs tied to them, as also how the new research and production ai plays out etc.. Extra gfx and tech description can follow later.

    If you like to enhance the next version of the AHOI-Mod and speed up the process, please leave me a note here.
    I hope I can send then next weekend a PN with dl locations ready for you to playtest the latest version of the current AHOI-Mod. Please write then your feedback here or in the main AHOI-Mod Forum(would be easier to gather all feedback there for me, but also ok if done here.) Link: AHOI-Mod main forum

    I adopted the AHOI-Mod to the 3.062 Patch and did quiete some more changes already.

    Changelog so far:

    General:
    - Adaption to Patch 3.06
    - Fixed instant "manual unit-upgrade" bug.
    - Added some goverment specific modifiers that show up in the politics screen in the goverment section.
    - Changed max units pools, so overall supply delivery is improved. Watch out to catch bigger supply depots from retreating enemy units.
    - Complete rework/check of the units stats and progression. Check of techs and units start stats.
    - Reworked all country history files


    Lua:
    - New Dynamic AI-production. Be able to play with production on auto and get a reasonable force compositon depending on ingame situations.
    - New dynamic AI-research. Be able to play with research on auto and get a reasonable tech research depending on ingame situations.(Very early version but able to research all 580+ technologies.)


    Map:
    - New map textures for relief look. Done by adaption of the Relief maps of Danevang and Modestus for the new CMP/3.06-map.
    - Added some own texture changes.
    - New colour for the rivers.
    - Öresund change. GER can now travel from Northsea to Baltic through "Kiel-Canal" without chance of being blocked by Danmark.(Historical reason to build the Kiel-Canal!)
    - Danzig Corridor added.


    Changes of units:
    - Completely changed/new unit system/setup. So we have eg. now no cluttered statistsics tab anymore!
    - Armoured Car will be available in Mot/Mech-Cav.
    - Light Tanks will be avaialbale in Armor and in Mot/Mech-Cav.
    - SHvy Tanks will be available in Hvy Armor.
    - TD and AG are incorporated in Support-units and in Corps-units, also the Hvy AT/AG.
    - Elite units have only one Support-unit and one Art unit.
    - Dropped Mot-Inf and Elite Mot-Inf. Instead, leg inf can be motorised by tech, and MOT-Inf represents all that early Tank-Div-Inf and later MECH-Inf.
    - No seperate Jet units anymore, Jets are part of the normal Counters and "Plane Types" are a component.
    - Droped extra Transport-Ships. Are all modified Std-Transport-Ships now and will come with events.(Auxilary etc..)
    - Added new carrier unit. Now available: CVE/CVL/CV/SHCV. CVE comes with the CVE tech now.(shares CVL techs)
    - Dropped Recon plane. Tech will give spotting bonus.
    - Added Light Bombers.
    - Dropped Police and added Paramilitary instead. Also in an Elite-version(NKVD and early and late foreign WSS)
    - Colonial Inf droped, will later be simulated with foreign units.


    Changes of techs:
    - Fixed the "Technolgy start-tech-calculation bug". All countries hav now only the techs defined in their history folder.
    - Armor techs adopted to the new units.
    - Inf techs adopted to the new units.
    - Air techs adopted to the new units.
    - Naval techs adopted to the new units.
    - Colonial Inf tech droped, tech will be used for Paramilitary activation.


    GUI changes:
    - Added new colours to the Parties
    - New province view wich allows to see the whole provinve picture
    - New pictures for the different terrain types
    - Sunk ship list text colour now white again.
    - Reworked/fixed background for some countries




    Would be nice if some could help and speed up the process to get the AHOI-Patch out asap.
    If you would like to help I'll send you a PN with the download link.
    I think I could be ready for next weekend with a first test version.

    As announced, I will now port my mods to "Hearts of Iron III: Their Finest Hour"..
    As I adopted already the "Widescreen Ahoy!(FTM)" to the new Expansion "Hearts of Iron III: Their Finest Hour", now it is time for the "AHOI Mod - A HOI3 Treasure Chest".
    First work is already done as you could see on the first pics.

    Icon7 Move Move Move! :)

    Well, the reason for my adoption problems were not the new graphics, new .gui/.gfx files or the changed Lua scripts..
    Because exactly those files work like a charm now again..
    The only change is, that I use now the Mod-Dir. And so far it works quite well.
    Before I just copied all files(from within TFH folder too) into the HoI3 main folder.
    It seems that the .exe doesn't like that. It was no real problem with only my normal widescreen mod, but with more changed files of my AHOI-Mod I got then these strange Lua-behaviour.

    Anyway, now again ahead with full steam.

    Maybe I can upload a first test version at sunday evening.

    Icon7 moar space..

    An early design of the 1001-techtree.
    42 tabs on the left with space for around 1000 technologies.
    Raging form around 1900-1970 and giving us around the same amount of techs per year as Std-HoI3 had for its shorter time period. So no overwhelming tech spam.

    New buildings like you can already see in the new prov view.

    Rework of Strategic Ressources.
    More map changes(Like the already done Danzig/Corridor or Kiel Canal usage).
    Weather changes(Map terrain changes needed for this..)
    Finally some more events about historic decisions.

    Icon7 Convoy / Amphibious Landing

    Another preview of the new tech-tree. Make detailed progress with you ampihbious landing capabilities. From the early Storm-Rowboats towards the Hoovercrafts. And also protect your Convoys. Use your transports as Submarine traps or use them as Auxilary Cruiser to be a wolf and pretend you're a sheep. If no carrier are at hand, historical shortgap solutions like CAM/MAC-ships are also in to protect your Convoys.

    Icon7 News AHOI!

    As announced, some news around the AHOI-Mods..

    1. Modding
    I'm still modding, even if I had veerry few time at hand so far.
    Mostly I'm adding already tested things and test it alltogether now.
    Also because some annoying things happened, the work was delayed, but now it is time to move on.
    The AHOI-Mod will get some more nice other features implemented.


    2. Time
    One main reason for having not that much time anymore is my new "lifetime job of being a dad".
    And of course the Lua-AI for East vs. West.
    As my time schedule is normalising by now, I have also more time for the AHOI-Mod again.


    3. Downloads
    Nearly 7.500 downloads of the ALPHA Version ofthe current AHOI-Mod for TFH are giving me a good motivation to go on.
    The Widescreen-Mod for Standard HoI3-TFH has ~5.500 downloads so far.
    And thus, the AHOI-Mod-Series is still one of the most popular for HoI3, even without an own Sub-forum at Paradox.
    Also without anywhere near the same amount of posts in forums or at ModDB like the other bigger mods, we have nearly the same or even more downloads. That phenomenon is continuing. Some more life in the forums around the AHOI-Mods would be nice though.


    4. Patches
    The patch with the latest features will now go fully online.(Look in the OP or at the end of this post.)
    A new startdate for WWI Sceanrio will be implemented.
    More patches will follow. They will make the WWI Sceanrio fully playable(OOB/ministers/events/decsions).
    The curent technology system will stay and can now get better names/pictures.
    Unit and unit components progression (modells/names/pictures) can now be implemented.


    5. Outlook
    After successful work of #4, a new big download will be given and put the AHOI-Mod on a complete new ALPHA or even BETA stage.
    In that version you will then be able to ply from WWI up to around WWII.
    How fast the progress will be is also up to you, and if you're willing to help.

    The Patch: Patch-AHOI-Mod-TFH-Test-402b
    You only need this patch if you have already the AHOI-Mod. Otherwise download/install the AHOI-Mod first!

    "Patchlog"
    -I hope I patched all reported bugs.
    -The new feature of TFH of Penetration/Armour are implemented.
    -The new feature of TFH of Tactics is implemented(Doctrines)
    -Some technology errors solved.
    -Some technology balancing.
    -Technologies like WW1 planes are now integrated. (WWI Scenario will be added some later..)
    -Changed productions Lua.
    -New buildings are finally in:
    If you build a port or airport, you get a naval base/air base for free every two steps via decsions you can take.
    Military buldings can be build faster then the civil part, but military bases are needed for rapair/refuel, civil buildings add IC/Infra.
    Railroad networks are added. A railline is easier to be bombed/dmg in fights but allows more supply.
    Heavy Industries will be tied to production capabilities of tanks in the same way as ports/airports needed for air/sea units.
    -CGM-Mode should work now with all countries.

    Installation:
    The Mod will run with just copying but some files should be deleted before installaion:
    Delete the content of the following folder:
    C:\Users\"username"\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron III\AHOIModTreasure\map\cache
    And:
    X:\Hearts of Iron III\tfh\mod\AHOIModTreasure\history\provinces
    All files within.. (The game will later build up the map from scratch on the first launch.)
    now copy the patch in the folder:
    X:\Hearts of Iron III\tfh\mod\AHOIModTreasure
    Extract it there, and overwrite if asked.
    Start the game with the launcher(It still says 4.02a, I'll correct that in the next patch..) and it will build now the map wich could take a while.
    After the game loaded up the first time, close the game and restart it again.
    That is neccessary for the engine to set it up allright.(Checksum etc..)
