can't get mods to work

Hi, new to ETW, downloaded the ETF factions thing and strum and durang can't get either to work, is there a particular procedure to geting these mods to work? Is the steam thing interfering?

No but you have to take care 2 things:

1. Make sure that you install mod in your game's directory so you have to have ...\empire total war\ETF folder and ...\empire total war\data_SD2 folder.

2. Always start Steam first manually and then start mod's launcher.

Hi, thanks for the reply. the whole ETW thing froze last night and am a bit suspicious about using the mod. I made a copy of ETW in another folder and tried to use that, but the screen comes up, late, early campaign emergent ect. I use that then the thing just goes to the usual load up. France, GB, Russia ect. I'll strip the whole thing out and then, start again i think. Probably installed it wrong. Also not to sure I started steam manually. Sure I'll get it to work in the end.
