    Default Invasion of England

Following the declaration of war between Britannia and Scandinavia and England, Arthur has decided to personally lead his army in an invasion of England. The forces are already assembled at the fortress of Badon Hill.

The army will conquer Londinium and Kent, and then annex the rest.

OOC: So your sending most of your army?

The Saxons station there whole army in the castle of Londinuim. They can only pray that the Vikings get to there shores in time. (This means you will either have to attack the castle or keep it under siege)

OOC: No, half of it, the rest is scattered mostly around Northumbria and half the militia is in Camelot. My exact troop locations are in the Britannia invasion thread.

Also, by now we are outside the city walls of London, and 1/3 of my navy is blockading with another 1/3 nearby, so good luck.

We beseige and order seige engines to be built.

I don't think it's fair to say you have simply swept through their lands to London.

Ok so you swept through the land which wouldn't just happen. you need to prepare like you said to me and various othere factors like resistance from villgers ect. also you act like 1/3 of your navy covers alot of land, it barly covers 0.2 miles meaning I could do something that takes alot of logic and rocket science; Go around. Siege equipment take a while to build enough to actually attack a fort. All of these = enough time for me to get there and help.

    Not really.
Let's do the math. My army has been sitting at Badon Hill waiting to invade since three days ago when I said they were. You ordered the ENTIRE Saxon army to London, meaning there is no real resistance. 2/3 of my navy could easily defend Southern England, especially if they were patrolling a little further away, like, for example, NORWAY. Also, as I ordered the seige equipment built yesterday, and it would take at max a week to build, not two months (one day in-game is 2 months), I can and will attack today.

Yea so can I since we were preparing for ages. Anyway a navy can only protect so much land, thats a thing that you cannot really judge properly unless your actually there.

When it's 150 ships going up and down the length of an island it can protect a lot.

And if they did they would be spread so thin he could easily break through and only have to fight like 4 ships.

It's not a straight line, they're sailing back and forth... And there's signals on land...

Also, PLEASE use Miles and Feet. I CANNOT stand the metric system.

Unless your entire navy can get their before he moves past, it doesn't matter.

It makes more sense. Even I like the metric system.

    1. Not if 150 ships all rush to confront 50 or so, we can chase them down if nothing else.

    2. It reminds me of the extreme liberalism the world is coming to.

    1. True, but they can land or engage before the rest of your fleet gets there.

    2. I thought it might.

The area of coast you are trying to guard is 500 km (or 310 miles) long, approximately. How mnay ships are you getting to guard it? Because unless you have at leat 5 per mile, you have no chance of stopping him punching through a small area.

Dude, in ALL previous WRs, troop movements in the area have been suspended until the battle is over and both parties have a chance to move. You didn't get there in time, deal with it.

I will be there by the 3rd round as we would be in a rush to get there and the reasons I gave in battle. I'll post rp in my thread when we land and arvie.

And I will copy-paste it into a notepad document in case you want to use it later, then delete it for the reasons I've already given.
