im not to sure but this is what i would think get the battle stuff from the mars campaign in your folder than copy into your custom battle folder

You can't use a campaign map for a battle if that is what you are asking.

i think hes talking about the battle map in the tutorial campaign that you fight the with senate and gauls. i could be wrong.

Good question. The "custom_locations.txt" file specifies where on the campaign map a battlefield is pulled from. Unfortunately, I don't see a reference to *which* campaign map, so it appears to be restricted to the imperial campaign map. In other words, it appears to be hardcoded. Now you could make another copy of RTW, and do some moving and modifying of files to trick the game, but I don't see any simpler way at the moment.

I haven't tried it, so I can't say for sure. It is just something you would have to experiment with. I don't know that there is a tutorial on the custom battles. If you look at the file mentioned above you can see the format.

If you figure it out you will be the expert on the subject.

It is not in the Imperial Campaign map but in "Data\world\maps\campaign\sons_of_mars\Prologue_Battle_1", But it's a scenario.
It will be hard to unleash it from all the other txt-files who create the scenario of the gauls and others. I will try to do it and aswer so fast as possible.

The trick is that you will have to reference the map from that campaign. Looking at the custom locations file, the path to the map is not specified. So that must mean that it is hardcoded to the map in the imperial campaign folder. That is why I think you will have to make a copy of the entire RTW folder and then start modifying files so that you can have the provincial (tutorial) campaign map available as the main map. There are a lot of things associated with the map, so it could be a painstaking task.
