antea does the sassanid empire

heres my complete reskin for the sassanids...

its just something i have been slowly putting together for ages and i figured i should give it to yall. there are no gloss files or unit cards yet, and may never be as i am a busy chap, but who knows.

most units are drab whites and tans to reflect their status in the empire as conscripts or vassal peoples with little money for expensive fabrics, however the social elites such as clibinari, cataphracts and the like are richly decorated with purples, yellows and reds - all valued colours in the sassanid empire as well as gilded/decorative armour . i wouldnt call them historically accurate, but rather a mixture of faux sassanid, turkish, central asian and middle eastern arms and armours that are as pretty as i could assemble.

they are currently hosted by badongo, if anybody would like to host them somewhere more reliable i would be much appreciative. also, if there are any bits of anybodys mods or skins that have crept in, let me know as occasionally i use bits and pieces in place of things i intend to do at a later date - then forget. feel free to use them as ever you please, but if you want to use them in a launched version of a mod let me know and acknowledge my skins. as they are a work in constant progress, they may change in the future too.

to install, just drag and drop into the bi/data/models_unit/textures folder... shouldnt need any fancy naming of data_models_battle files

Wow pretty nice work for working with just the vanilla models. My favorite are the new horses for the Savaran.(So glossy!)

Amazing skins.

There are a few models like the Cataphract rider that ought to be changed, but you really do a phenominal justice to these models.

i am thinking i might do some gloss files for some of them... maybe sprites too... sprites shouldnt be too hard as i could just desaturate them and/or replace the bluered with tan...
