Gahhh posted here then lost it,lol...

    Trying again.

I tried to start a new thread to compile the Ferres/Algie models: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...8#post10352628 As mods seem to be using older units, without the updated, full shield/greave types etc. So hopefully, dodging nappy changes for baby(2 months old now) I can complete this...heh.

I lost my PI and TE mod work due to floods here months ago,but finally have after years.....managed to work buildings from village to huge city. I can assist in this area if you like? I lost my research on that and unit creation etc sadly before. I am trying EDU automatic, but it is not set up fully for RTW,so what system do you have for unit stats? I would like to share data if possible?

Roman slingers are found in XGM,same texture work as 1.5 romans.

I have attic&phrygian hoplites, village to huge city level..so I have to submit this for you also ^_*. Having buildings at village,ie Guard House,I get 6 hoplites from village to huge city,or levy/militias,javelins and slingers at village, archers at town...heh etc.

Use the compiled animation pack is more flexible..EB & RG included.

    Appreciate the work!
RIP Andy aka "Calvin",sorely missed by many.
Hoping all of your guys and girls out there are OK and your family in RL?

Roma Vicit, i'm skinner of the team

Kylan, actually the EDU stats are the same of vanilla...untill i finished all the units reskins and Algaman rework some models (to the celtic factions).

It would be interesting post the needed things in the new Ferres' thread, i can post there a lot of skins that we don't use to this mod...and some others that i did made for fun .

I don't have the permission from EB and Res Gestae to use their animations...that's the matter .

Many thanks for the support, mate...and if you want, you can help us (tell me and i'll send you the files ).

Ok to fire off,the EB&RG unified animation pack, you can ask Foot, and then Salvor Hardin for RG,I have OK from them for mine and they are pretty cool so should be no prob. The d/l for the unified animation pack is broken though so I have to source elswhere for it though. I think it was from TiFo if I recall?

The skins are nice, but I am trying to sort the cas as some things really wierd heh,ie unfinished UIs and two Republican Firsts??? I am trying to sort that and because I have the level 1-6 buildings, trying to place a model in each settlement is tough work,so skin variations and cas I am trying to find ^_*.

    Ok what is needed?

Interesting. Well the 3 rosters you have shown are very large and include a large variety of units (that never hurts of course ) Hower some seems like a small variation of another. You need to polish it or it's the definitive ones??
Another thing. The mod is focused on the 2nd Punic war, but in the faction roster I see some factions which would suit better in a Caesar based mod. I would add the macedons which were on the Hannibal "side" and which eventually led to the Macedonian wars. I would also add some Iberian faction/s whihc were allied of Rome before the very start of the Hannibalic War.
I hope my suggestions could be of help.

I would also add the Seleucids and perhaps Bithynia amongst the Celtiberians and Macedonians suggested by Emperor Domitianus as playable factions instead of all those Celts knowing that Hanibal had a word or two to say in that part of the world as well

Update the first post with new previews (campaign map, Megae Hellas rooster and some battle screens).

I'll send you a pm, Kylan ...and send you the mod files (uploading). I'll going to ask about the animation's permission.

Emperor Domitianus and Visarion, great suggestions!!! ...we'll try to include them, but like provincial campaigns...because in this map there aren't some important territorys to can make it, there is only Italy, Corsica, Sardinia, Illyricum coast and North Africa (added by ERIC_LZ). I like very much your suggestion (we had the idea of make a Mediterranean campaign like a next patch)...specially the Visarion's suggestion of Hannibal's campaign on Asia Minor....

There are 7 free faction's slot to use, we can do this without problems . Very appreciate your suggestions

It's not the definitive rooster (and the roosters are largest than in the previews, 8/10 units more by faction) , it's only a update rooster that we are changing for this version (the beta version rooster was very ugly and imcomplete ...and is only in spanish ). We had planned to made updates for next versions...

The variety of units and small variations on them, is because many of these are only regional units. Our recruitment system is very different than in vanilla, you only can recruit your faction units in your faction homeland, on the rest of territorys you need to recruit regional troops or mercenary troops (the carthaginians have different types of buildings to do it ) and you need too to have a correct goverment type in that region to can recruit troops.

Thanks to everybody for the support.

Mainly Ferres reskins via Milner and Algaman.

Again I post and lost, lol. Some glitch in my browser.

    Try agin..

I have seen several mods along similar lines,so try to sort things out to make it unique. If the start is 218BC to 202ish,then look at the faction leaders and maps at that time period. I found a good link on socii roaman allies in wiki and lost it...so try wiki & Livus for some ideas.

The game does not allow a Carthaginian Senate,so I think use Hanno II as your faction leader, and consider what generals you need per faction. Rome appointed a dictator in 217BC so I think he is your roman faction leader? I will try to find my data again, grrr.

    Cheers
    Phil

The campaign map is very good but :

    1. Carthage is too near to sicily.
    2. Including Spain would be good to simulate Hannibal long route to Italy through the Alps. However it's probablt that I have misanderstood the mod aim which may be focusing only on the Italian part of the Hannibalic Wars.
