India: Total War - extending the map to india?

Although I like the prospect of fighting the Aztecs, I think it would have been cool if CA extended the map and included some South Asian factions, such as from India. There were many powerfull empires in India during that time period.

I'm looking forward to the Alexander expansion since i here they have included an Indian faction there.

i think at the time the discovary of america was a far more important event so CA has decided to extend the map this way. Also i think CA want to add alot more in this game so its just more then improved graphics from the original m:TW

I dont think they are doing that Alexander expansion. It was meant to come out last month but i havent heard a word on the expansion since it was announced.

Nono westy...this is not about the alexander expansion but about extending the map of MTW2.

I think if they make MTW3 on a new engine it would be all of Europe, N Africa, and Asia, but I guess that's a bit too much scope for a game that's just a half sequal to RTW (same engine).

I wouldint mind an expansion to atleast the western half of India.(I.e Mundus Magnus) However I think that having it go to the far east would be too much. Mostly becuase whether CA will raise the faction limit or not 30 slots isint gonna cut it for all the potential(sp?) civs that were around at that time. Plus it would just be too freaking big!

i dont see the why theres such an uproar over the Aztec region. true many of us, including me, would perfer an expansion to the west but with in a month or two im sure there will be a mod that covers that!
