Great preview guys!
This made me (finally) buy MTWII.
Amazing job!
I'm new here, and I am amazed.
I especially like the inclusion of Almughavars and Ragusans.
I just have 3 questions, I am posting these as questions, not as suggestions, because I don't know if I am right or not.
I hope someone will answer.
1. Isn't the correct term Ragusan Cakoni, not Ragusian Cakoni? They are from Ragusa, not Ragusia, so I think that the correct term is whithout a latter ''i''.
2. Isn't the correct term Bashtinik, not Bashtnik?
3. Isn't Vlastela the term for all high nobility (including Bashtiniks and Pronijars from this mod), also for people with titles (Zhupan, Knez, Vojvoda...)?
Wouldn't the correct term would be Vitez (Knight)?
It was a term that was used for all mounted noble-warriors, and that word is often found in manuscripts and on graves. For example there's an inscription on the grave of Djurash Ilijitch (Đuraš Ilijić) - a nobleman of Serbian king Stefan Dechanski, and tsars Dushan and Urosh.
It writes: ''u cara Stefana treti vitez'', tanslated as ''in the service of car Stefan, a brave knight''.
I know, those are only details and they will not affect whether will I play this or not (I will )
Again, congrats on this!
1. it depends of transcription. same as for doclea or dioclea. diocletian or dioclean. (što se kaže na srpskom: srbin ili srbijanac, tako i ovo ragusan or ragusian)
2.yes, by literature it's bastinik, so i'll correct.
3.vlastela is term for high nobility, yes. but bashtiniks and pronijars were not high nobility. they were non hereditary nobles, who gain land by fighting, they could be included as vlastelicici, but i doubt even that, cause vlastela and vlastelicici were hereditary nobles.
vitez would not be correct term . vitez is no military name. all units has their military name. vitez is a title. it could be given to any man with great courage and honor. so vitez could be titled from ordinary spearmen to high noble. so vitez were the people showing great courage, strength, honor etc. but it's not title like knez, zupan, vojvoda. those were hierarchy titles (in some cases like vojvoda even military title), while vitez is just honorable title.

About Hussar shields
My choice, but based on some educated guesses and some historical sources. I would call them reasonably accurate.
There are several coat of arms in these pictures of contemporary noble families from the period (Lazarević, Branković, Jakić, Bakić). On others there are some neutral designs like stripes or just meaningless decorations (inspired by surviving stone carvings from Bosnia, and surviving tárcsa shields from Hungary). Unfortunately there are no preserved shields from that era that originate from Serbia itself.
Red and white colors for stripes are chosen because those are faction colors for Serbia.
If you are asking do we have some historical sources for Serbian and Bosnian shields, answer is yes, we have gathered a decent amount of material (stone carvings), but back then (when I draw those shields) I did not have everything that I have now, so I had to improvise a bit.
I can send you the pictures.
About Pronijar shields
Shields are based on pictures of Byzantine shield designs from Osprey books.
Red and white colors for stripes are chosen because those are faction colors for Serbia.
I did not put much of research in this.
Wooooooow nice love it
This is just too good...just amazing ..awesome ...cant wait to read it !!
