LOL,the Clippers almost threw GM3 away. Missing 4 FT's in a row plus Gay hitting 3's......
CP3 did lead them to victory in the 4th Q though.
Edit: To bad about the Mavs, Dirk didn't deserve to go out like that.

So.. last time the Heat and Mavs met in the final, the winner was swept in round one next season after suffering a horrific opening to the season.
Heat lost to Chicago by 45 their first game after the NBA Finals. They were then swept by the Bulls in that years playoffs.
THIS time, Mavs win the title, lose their opening two games both by 30 and are swept first round by the Thunder.
Weird huh?
Also: "Do the Blake face!"
I don't even want to watch this. Taj Gibson just flat out rejected a shot and I didn't even smile. I feel so sad for this Bulls team, they are giving literally everything they have and it's not enough. Watson is gassed after playing so much this season, Boozer is Boozer is Boozer, Noah is done, Rose is done, Hamilton can't play 42 minutes and then come back strong the next game, few can after this season. Brewer for some reason hasn't played despite us only having a bare bones roster.
Most painful to watch is Deng, who genuinely makes me feel terrible. He's picked up an injury that 95% would go for surgery on straight away. He's strapped it up and gone out and played hard every night this season. He was set for a historic year - All Star, possible championship, captain the British team at the London Olympics.. all that has been made impossible because of injuries. Sure, he'll play in London, but he's not going to be able to play as freely as he could injury-free.
edit: Refs. Boozer. Rip. Deng. WTF.
I want to go cry in a corner now. KTHXBYE

I'm genuinely devastated. I only started following NBA at the start of last season and I was honestly worried I was jumping on he bandwagon by following the Bulls when I saw them cruise through the regular season. Now seeing them struggle in the first round of the play-offs while Rose has to watch from home, it's just sickening
And now it's been announced that one of our Front Office guys, John Paxson, has had heart surgery in an attempt to fix a heart issue (an arrythmia).
Cursed.
I'll give you that, but 6 injuries to Rose, Noah injured in the season and suffers a season-ending injury in Game 3, our GM has needed heart surgery, Deng has one hand...
It's like the sky is falling down.

KNICKS WIN!?
Things definitely look bleak...
I think it's the end of this Bulls team as its constructed. We tried to make a run with these guys and it just hasn't worked out. The window for this group has all but closed. Maybe rebuild time? Maybe. But no cap space.
An interesting idea I heard is to throw Deng/Noah/anything else they want except for Rose at the Magic for Dwight Howard. Even if he doesn't sign an extension, we'll free up a lot of cap space that way for the 2013-2014 FA class which should be a very good one.
Damn, I wish Derrick just broke his hand or something. The fact that its an ACL injury just makes everything so much worse.
It's certainly not the closing of this window, there's definitely one more run to be made with this group, though I would expect there to be a trade this offseason to improve the team in some way.
How can you say the window isn't all but closed? The same problem remains from last year: Everything is way too dependent on Rose come playoff time. The way the NBA is these days, you need 2 or 3 superstars to win it all.
Even if everybody was healthy there's no guarantee that this team gets past Miami. There's still only one real creator for the team out there. One guy who has to put everything on his shoulders, one guy who has to score in the clutch in the 4th quarter. You can't win NBA championships that way.
If Durant goes down they still have Westbrook and Harden. If Wade and Lebron go down, Bosh can still put up 30.
If Rose goes down...well, we see what happens. The wheels come off.
That's not the window closing, that's realizing that the team needs something else. Rose is young, Noah is young, Deng is (relatively) young, Gibson, Asik, Butler, Korver are all young.
I think we'll end up trading someone for scoring in the off-season, hopefully someone like Mayo or Gay.. It looks like Brewer won't return, Lucas and James won't either, Butler will get minutes. We can then start thinking about trades.
Dude, Rose/Deng/Boozer/Noah are taking up the majority of cap space. We can't sign a 2nd star next to rose as long as this core remains. Thats why I'm saying the window is all but closed.
I love Noah and Deng, I really do. But the best thing they ever do as Bulls may be getting us that legit 2nd option/2nd superstar to pair next to Rose. Their value is high and they, along with Gibson, are the only legit trade pieces we have.
Rudy Gay can't come here. How? Mayo is just not good, either.
Rondo is tearing Atlanta to pieces

pacer fans should send melo's mom flowers. Maybe the pacers could end up getting the rest. Rest is critical this season.
I just love how down hearted Bulls fans have become. It is fun to watch.
FUN!? You think we're overreacting? Rose has an injury which he may never recover from and to compound that, we've lost our emotional leader and top rebounder for the rest of this series and are on the verge of going out in the first round.
Tell me why this is fun?
I don't know how to react to this: Laugh at the absurdity of the injuries or cry.
It was fun last year when the other shoe dropped in the ECF but this year sucks because injuries bled all the fun out of an 8 seed beating whatever Chi-Town is putting out on the floor.
