ehhh...why don't we let this Asik thing play out before we say they have no plan. They haven't actually done anything yet. This FO brought you an elite title contending team patched together even despite being spurned by Lebron/Wade/Bosh, let's have a little faith.

And the reason Asik regressed in his second year is because there was no summer ball or training camp, it was a lockout season.

Danny Ferry is trading players like he's in NBA2k Association mode. Damn son.

Ferry is unloading bad contracts. Finally. Pieces that dont fit. Really never fit.

    Bulls...

Understand that the signing of Omer basically means that you are saying goodbye to Taj, because based on this he is going to command a sizable salary. But unlike this, he can start on some teams. Omer is an elite defender around the basket. That is all. A nice, expensive piece for a team with all its ducks in a row.

Latest word is that there is a significant power struggle/debate as to what to do within the Bulls. Changes almost every hour. I still theink they do it. And I just dont see how you keep Taj at that point. Which is criminal.

He moved the contract many thought impossible to move so I give him credit for that. He is doing what many said ATL should have done awhile ago, break there mediocre team up and go in another direction.

Now we have to live in a world where the Clippers and Nets are good.

    These are truly end times...

Nets won't be ing good, they'll be last years Hawks 2.0. Joe Johnson is a 6th man paid like a superstar and Gerald Wallace has skills but hasn't done anything of note. DWill is great yea, but those 3 players together make apx 50 mil with a cap of 55-58. That team will get beat by the Pacers in the 2nd round assuming Hibbert stays.

Dwight would make for a good team for them yea. Problem is they'll have 4 players under contract and be over the cap by 12 mil already. If you thought the Heats supporting cast wasnt great, the Nets will have 4 players and D-leaguers. One injury and the team fails, while JJ and GW are on the wrong side of 30. Plus they'll pay the league 30 mil every year in luxury tax penalties.

Thank you for that. I was beginning to despair.

but, if there's any owner in the league that can afford to pay luxury tax, it's Prokhorov. Isn't he a billionaire?

He'll pay the tax, he won't care. HE'S GOT TWO OF THE TOP 10 PLAYERS TO GO WITH A TOP-20 and GERALD WALLACE.

Dwight signing in Brooklyn alters the landscape of the NBA for the next 5 years.. They would have strengths at the positions the Heat really struggle at - Point and Center.

Plus, you play JJ at shooting guard and all of a sudden he's tougher to stop. He's a decent defender too.

If they manage to get Howard, while retaining G.Wallace and with Teletovic being the stretch "4" they become the most talented team in the East, together with Heat.

Not quite, the Heat still have them beaten talent-wise, but the Nets would take them to the cleaners at PG and C match-ups. The Heat have NOBODY to stop Dwight. Their tactic has been to swarm him and let the three-point shooters (hot/cold) shoot, or let him get his.

If the Nets pull this off, the Heat can't swarm Howard as you have THREE players capable of hurting you and you can't hope to let Howard get his AND expect to stop the other three from scoring well too!

JJ would mesh well with Howard, he is a great outside shooter and could help play the inside out game effectively. I wish the Pacers had a Russian Billionaire owner...

We need a hard cap in the NBA, level the playing field between large and small markets. Only then could the league become more popular than the NFL.

Put Wade on Williams and James or Battier on Johnson and their offense isnt as good, and the Heat bench outdoes the Nets bench, and just live with a player who only has an inside game. The Heat defense is just so athletic that even if they double someone and they pass it out to a three shooter they can still contest it, the Heat's defense can deal with any offense in the NBA.

I don't think your realize just how popular the NFL is in America. And how inferior the NBA is in that regard in comparison.

Getting an older PG who plays no D on a team with a Defensive minded coach on a team that doesn't play consistently good D.

Glad Nash will have a legit shot to win a ring but all this does is get them closer to OKC who would still beat them in a 7 game series.

Probably you're right I expect Hill to sign with them soon too, certainly an upgrade over Artest.

In other news, apart from getting bad picks for Nash, we signed Beasley and Dragic for 6 and 7.5M annually.
