After the death of Harold in Brittania the empire split into many sub-states. The Brittanias had made an eternal enemy, but also destroyed the state for a period of time. Chief Eyllus, Son of Harold, controled a piece of land where the people still suported his family.

Eyllus was in a tough situation, he (Grey) had the major threat of the frankish king Karala the III (Orange) Who had a far supierior army, where as his brain power wasn't very good. Chief Ellus starte to unite a few tribes and started to focus on the only upper hand he had, navy. His navy was far superior to Karala and any attack atempt by sea from the Frankish King would be a almost certain win for Eyllus. Karala ordered just that, but he tought it was totally secret he told his cloest friends and his most loyal troops only, but a tip-off from the rebel leader Rosinder made Eyllus aware. He ordered the whole navy to attack the Frankish king and they were victorious killing Karala in the attack, his empire surrendered shortly after the news from fear of extermiation.

After Eylluss' time was up there was the challenge of who would take his place. Teuda had recently married Mogar who was of Koln origin, he was favoured to be King for his startigic mind, but he took the back bench as Vikings did not really want a man of non-Viking blood to lead them. Rogarr took the throne but as he had a bad stratic mind he didn't make many advancements except in his campaign where he sent Mogar to Sweden. Mogar died in battle by an arrow to the head which was tragic for the family since Magno had died 3 years before. Rogarr was forced to eventually pass the throne down since the Vikings were getting annoyed at the time he took to advance.

When Raghelm went to the throne there were high hopes for him, since he was smart and strong, but things wern't as they seemed. He commanded well and was good-ish at battle, but in 1095 a elite guard heard a cry of a baby from the kings bedroom. He went into there to find a woman, Raghelm and a baby. It was almost certain to him that there was something to hide Raghelm tried to kill the gaurd but then more came. Raghelm managed to run of with the baby but the wife was killed on the spot because even though the troops had no idea what the problem was, if there was no problem he wouldn't have tried to kill his own guard.

When the news got to Rogarr the Vikings had realised what had gone on. From what the guards had found the women was a princess of Brittnia named Emily, there were huge riots and uprising due to the fact a royal could sleep with such scum. Even with the huge public pressure Rogarr could not sentence his own son to death, instead he banished him from the kingdom and ordered his son to be killed by poison. But Raghelm had no entention of leaveing calmly, he payed of 500 mercanary vikings to fight for him and hired a boat to be ready for him to leave. Raghelm raced to get to the boat encountering huge numbers of resistance, but Raghelm and his son did get away before Rogarrs army could get him. 200 mercanarys died and the shipwas almost sunk in the space of 10 minutes but Raghelm managed to get to Brittnian shores before the navy could get him.

After the betrayal of Raghelm and the fact he had got away the family had to produce something good to keep the people from removing them from power, they had to chose a king between Cnut and Baton. The desition was Cnut since he was Rogarrs son and Rogarr did not want his siters side to be remembered if Baton would produce something great. Cnut started off with a brocken kingdom, not a proper army, bad relations with people and not enough food to feed his people. Cnut started by uniteing the people and saying they did not have to leave there villages if they were of diffrent religion, this proved a good move since people hated the fact they fought each other over religion. Next, Cnut united all the millitia, various tribal armys, royal armys and chiefs armys into one, this seemed to be a bad idea at first but they drove away the swedish by makeing this move and also elimateing the risk of attack from brittnia.

He continued by ordering good payment to people that grow crops and started trade with various countrys, meaning he would be able to feed his people. The threat of invasion from other countrys had been removed by the big army, thus saving Scandnavia from the biggest catastrophe ever, Brittnian conquest, which could have been the outcome if Cnut had not made the moves he did. The people were happy but most people in Scandinavia wanted one thing, the invasion of Brittnia which was only a matter of time. Cnut is hailed as the saviour of the Vikings.

    Scandinavian Empire History (Short Version)

    Scandinavian Empire History
Raids by seaborne Scandinavian pirates on sites in Britain, especially largely undefended monastic sites began at the end of the eighth century AD, the start of King Cnut’s family's rain.

By the end of the ninth century there were large-scale settlements of Scandinavians in various parts of Britain, and they had achieved political domination over a significant territory of islands north and west of Britain. The Vikings were one of the superpowers of their time, but there ship was about to be sunk.

In 1020 Cnut’s great grandfather (Harold) was making good advancements and decided to bring a huge army of Vikings to Caledonia to raid Britannia, but as the ships set off Harold stupidly brought most of his men south and left little defence against any sort of riots from within. As Harold slept, the Briton Loyalists planed their revolt, they quickly organised the freedom from the Vikings rule and the Vikings could do nothing but watch. The ships that had been called for had been told that Harold was killed and the Britons were mass revolting, a quick decision from the general told them to retreat back to Norway.

As Harold heard the news of the riots, he was pretty laid back, for his mass army would arrive and easily dispatch the threat but just to be safe he sent 700 troops to deal with any that had not been caught. The Caledonians continued their revolts and were making very quick advancements, Harold unaware of his army were retreating was the worst misunderstanding in the history of the Vikings. The 700 troops that Harold had sent to dispatch any spare rioters, because the boats should have been here and dealt with the problem had been totally gobsmacked at the amount of numbers they faced. Most stood their ground, some fled, but they were destroyed by the Caledonian rebels’ advancing army. Harold's mistake had bought time for the rioters to organise a proper army and generals to lead it, they were a functioning body.

As a false messenger sent a false letter stating that the Caledonian threat had been eliminated. Harold was happy and started to advance onto a few Briton towns, STILL unaware of the danger that lay behind him. The Caledonians advanced their army and a messenger told the Briton armies general that there were Viking attacks. The Britons retaliated with a huge army to try and get the Vikings while there not ready. The Vikings were trapped in a pincer movement, the Caledonian rebels from the back and the Britons from the front. Harold’s army was crushed and the Britons met with the Caledonians.
The Caledonian rebels, who in reality were Britons who rebelled against the Vikings, gladly accepted Briton protection again.

The Vikings wait for the day a leader could be born, to one again attack the Britons and gain what was (to them) rightfully theirs. The Vikings system totally fell apart they were on the brink of rebelling and splitting into smaller states, but then came King Cnut. He stabilised the kingdom and sorted out the feuds between different parts of the Scandinavian Empire. King Cnut is credited for saving Scandinavia and is hoped to be the one to lead there armies to crush the Britons once and for all!

Important people in the Scandinavian Empire

The Mighty King Cnut the Great, Leader of one of 'the greatest empire'. Age - 27

The king and proud ruler of Scandinavian Empire, Cnut was thought to be an unworthy ruler, but now he is credieted for saveing the Vikings. Cnut rebulit the Vikings economy and created a working system. He is considered very wise for his age, but can be rash and is very quick tempered, he can also make things seem better than they are. His people hope that he will make the Vikings great again.

Prince Baro, Cnuts younger brother. Age - 19

The younger brother of Cnut, he is always in his shadow. Cnut gives him some power, but the final destion is made by Cnut. Baro is stong warloveing and brave, but very foolish when it comes to controling an empire. He loves war and is a good tactition.

Baton the Strong, Cnuts relative. Age - 26

Baton is a true warrior and Cnut considers him a secound King. You could say Cnut and Baton are closer than Baro is. Baton is logically minded and is not barbarious in many ways, this is why people dislike him over Cnut. His war skills are amazing and he isn't very stuborn. He is considered better thinker than Cnut and dose not rush into things.

Commander Zorata. Age - 27 Commander of war, close friend to Cnut.

Commander Magnus. Age - 34 Commader of war, smart in tough situations.

Brunes of Agder. Age - 29 Leader of army.

Genaral Cando. Age - 37 Very wise, is a good controler of people. Not so good at war, he leaves that to commanders.

Greco-Roman Empire They choose to trade with our enemy, then there day will come. Most people don't agree with king Cnuts reasons for hateing them.

Kingdom of Nabudis Realtions are well with these people, they are one of the few that do not back nations without reason.

King Cnuts Plans (What goes on in Scandinavia)
1100 January: King Cnut has ordered The Invasion of Brittania. The people are very pleased and the soliders have high spirts. Commander Zorata and Brunes of Agder will be there to lead the two seperate armys. King Cnut orders Genaral Cando and Baton the Strong to lead the empire while he is gone rather than his younger brother Baro, as he is "To young and foolish". Prince Baro is lead to belives he commands the country to an extent, but he truely has little control.

Trade is set up with Koln makeing them much more liked by the population of Scandinavia, and the Greco-Roman empire are seen as betrayers that go against there word.

Cnut orders Baton to find a worthy wife for him after the war (If he makes it). Baton the Strong sets out with 100 elite chosen swrodsmen as his bodyguard and head for the borders of Denmark.

Cnut hears of the King Baldwins words towards them before Baton could reason with him, he felt like withdrawing his attack from the Brittnians since they had not spoken foul words, maybe Baldwin should feel there blades instead! But then Cnut hears of the assination of Baldwin and walks to the church with his soliders, this was truely an act of the Gods being on his side. Soon after they partyed through the night. (Not knowing Baldwin survied)

King Baldwin sends a Teuton to discuss trading terms; he sent him just for sort of a laugh. He isn't armed, but the smirk on his face reviles he is here for trouble. He hands him a letter.

    Dear King Cnut,
My Kingdom wishes to trade with you northerners. What do you need for commodities?

Also, on another note I wish for you to back down on the attacks with Britannia. This will get you nowhere and will only you anger his holiness and us. I might commission your pilgrims not to be allowed into the Holy land because no Christian nation should attack another. There are plenty of Pagans to the east and North.

The Teuton Hochmeister also would like to let you know that he demands you stop trying to poison the people of Koln with your propaganda.

The letter is given to Cnut who was preparing to set off. He closely scanned the letter and it outrages him, but he understands the Holy land is becoming more and more important to his people. He doesn’t try to hide his fury.

"So you expect me to back down from attacking an enemy who fought my father, and his father before him and his father before him? We understand they are fellow Christians, but they are also our sworn enemies, so we will march over them. You ask of trade when you speak of us ‘poisoning’ Koln? You are not worth my breath, leave this land now!”

He turns round tighting his leather gloves and arming himself ready to leave for brittnia.

Dude, we could pretend I already set off and hit land, or we could say they don't know yet. Just for the fact of gameplay I'll pretend they already know or we could make a big deal and edit a whole load of crap.

I am not complaining, it is just that everyone is talking to you as if they know of the attack which they should not do. Too many people can not get into character properly

True but the fact we would pirate anything that moved and was on sea could contradict them as i get no income for all that and usually the ships were made by villiagers hopeing to help in some way, I could find a sourse for you if your that fussed about it.

I agree with the price. They do not have all of the technology on that would make a standard ship expensive.

I greatly disagree, if they get that then I get to add to my Longbowmen that they are cheap, and I can afford 300,000,000 of them.

As long as their arrows are made out of bandages and therefore useleless then that is ok.
Remember that the unique scandinnavian ship is going to be the weakest ship on the game in terms of well everything.

Then if they're 1/10 of the price, they should be 1/10 of the strength, and I should be able to wipe them out with ten ships.

I will agree to that as they do not have a ram, siege weapos or even strong armour.

Why would boats need rams or anything?

And I already proved that seige equipment isn't needed, unless now we're charging for ladders and towers.
