The Papacy
Due to the Pope playing a big role in the Middle Ages I thought this would be quite suited to do so. Since my playing style as the Crusader States would be to please the Pope, and thus I thought I'd be kind of well suited to do this. No, I will not be sending Crusades on people 24/7 on my neighbors. I most likely will do them historically or if an NPC attacks a Christian nation.

Now, the Pope right now is historical (Pope Paschal II). However, when he dies, we will vote for a new Pope from random cardinals that I select from the ones of our nations/NPCS. If an NPC wins, then it will remain historical. But, if you nation gets the Pope, then your nation will get quite the bonus.


Crusades will be sent on these circumstances:[/size]
- Historically happenings
- Crusaders are attacked a lot by surrounding Muslims
- A threat towards the Papacy
- Bribery (must be quite a large sum and the nation must be a bit hated)
- Christian attacks Christian
- Against Pagans/Orthodox/Muslims if it is needed
**Jihads can be called at anytime though, but try to it realistically like this. The balance of this is that Jihads will have less followers like crusades.

Current Pope:
He is quite against the Orthodox (you can read yourself that he destroyed relations with them). Also, he isn't a big fan of Muslims like usual.

World Affairs
[B]"I have blessed the reconquista to happen. The Moors shall be brought back into Africa where they shall burn. The Fatimids will soon fall, and I will personally see Mecca burn myself. We are condoning the fact that the Scandinavians are attacking the Britons. We recommend that the fighting will stop, but we will avoid this due to the fight lasting longer than the Papacy itself. We hope Christians will stay neutral, but we will look over small supports. King Baldwin's failed assassination attempt has lead us in the Papacy to higher our military strength. The assassins will be killed in Roma itself for all traitors to see.

We are happy to see the marriage of Portugal and Koln with the Crusaders. This is truly a great marriage! The tournament in Nabudis to me seems like fun so far./B]

Some of these States are really far, in my opinion you should maybe pick closer States

I flipped a coin. These countries except for Denmark all actually helped in an actual crusade. Denmark is allowed b/c even Norway did a Crusade at once.

Denmark in M2 is always like the first nation to join the crusades.

Portugal sends 500,000 Gold Coins to his Holiness as his personal contribution to the Cruzade. As he is still keeping a watchful eye in the Moors and preparing for the Reconquista, he can't himself participate, but he wishes his Holiness all the blessings God can give in this holy cause!

The Papacy thanks Portugal very much so. We will be sending a reconquista as soon as your allies and yourself have the plans ready. We will use the money to help in the war effort.
