Lords of Mountain and Vale, the Arryns pride themselves on being the purest line of Andal nobility on the entire continent and their ownership of the Eyrie, a virtually impenetrable mountain fortress. Unfortunately, the former might not have done them as much good as they'd like; the venerable Jon Arryn, a right-hand man to Robert Baratheon in his rebellion sixteen years ago, is dead, and now his sickly son Robert 'Sweetrobin' rules Mountain and Vale. Should the boy die before procuring an heir (a real possibility given his poor health), this proud House will come to a sad end. Regardless, until he is old enough to rule in his own name, his mother Lady Lysa Tully, daughter of Lord Hoster Tully of the Riverlands and aunt to Robb Stark, governs the Vale as his Regent.
Despite her blood relations to the Starks and Tullys, Lady Lysa Tully has refused to join the War of the Five Kings thus far, keeping the armies of the Vale hale and healthy and her lands unspoiled by conflict. However, her intervention could tip the scales in favor of her natural allies the Starks and Tullys - if only she would remember her own family's words, 'Family, Duty, Honor'...
Unique unit: Knights of the Vale - 2,000/unit - 7 days - 15000 dragons - The Vale has a proud knightly tradition thanks to heavy Andal influence in the area, and its proud Knights reflect that quite well. They are superb noble heavy cavalry, capable of dusting anyone short of their only equals on the continent the Tyrell Knights of the Reach, and their fearsome reputation precedes them, striking fear into the hearts of their enemies.
