broken crecent keeps asking for ''kingdoms exe''

Hi, i dont understand, i just installed Medieval 2+kingdoms and now i install broken crecent+mods and its asking for kingdoms.exe? anybody understand? Its up to date, (1.05) so i dont know what i did do wrong?

I had the same problem too. If you are running Windows 7 what happened was the BC installer destination was in C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\. You need to make the destination C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods.

We had several users in the last weeks who experienced that problem. Unfortunately nobody found a solution for that till today. Can you have a look at this list, please:

There can be a lot of reasons:

• Kingdoms not patched to 1.05
• German Gold Edition link only available from germany/austria
• UAC not disabled for Medieval II Total War
• BC installed in the wrong folder (Program Files/Program Files (x86))
• Norton AV / Comodo security
• batch file directs to the wrong directory
• ...and a messed up installation through excessive modding

From what it looks like is that BC is kind of like the kingdoms expansions so the main BC folder needs to be in the same mods folder as the other Kingdoms campaigns. It boots from the kingdoms disk and the reason it cant find kingdoms.exe is because its not reading it as an kingdoms campaign.

But i got the disc in my computer.. Hmm.. This sucks . Does sombody have an 1.5 patch link for me? so i can update it by hand. I know, there is standing that i got 1.5 version already installed....

Is it possible that you have installed wrong version of the patch? What M2TW do you have, US or EU?

You can check the correct version number only in a kingdoms campaign.

Please ensure that you download the correct version and only get the Gold version if you have Medieval II: Gold Edition.

thats strange... Steam mess up my mods anyway.. SS was not playable, and also at COH i cant play Eastern Front mod.. I gonne buy medieval 2 in the shop tomorrow, so i know for sure i can play evry mod.

Hey you guys i have tryed downloading BC for a long time and everytime and everywhere i download it i always get "windos cannot find "kingdoms.exe" i use steam for m2tw is this the problem i have tryed all the instructions of bc

Sounds like a directory problem to me. Try to explore your pc yourself - apart from instructions. I have it on non steam version. Works ok.

Have you created an entry for Broken Crescent in the kingdoms launcher with Squids KLEA, like General George Monck advised? Are you sure that all paths are correct?

same here. just spent the last 4 hours d/l everything. it's now looking for Kingdoms.exe.

FWIW, I have a Direct2Drive d/l version of kingdoms, and any attempt to patch to 1.5 was unsuccessful. I am assuming that was because it was already up to date (much like a Steam version would be).

Hello Papal_Knight!
The 1.05 patch status is only visible in the options menu of a Kingdoms campaign. After installing the 1.05 patch the version of vanilla M2TW stays 1.03.
Disk2Drive had it´s own patch, but I can´t find the link anymore. Please check this.

Do you run Kingdoms on a 64bit system? Please check if you installed BC to the M2TW folder in program files(x86), not in program files (it´s only for 64bit applications).
