I m Greek as well and even though the modern day germans have us in their pockets i will vote for HRE as i just love Gothic knights and ritterbrudens(sorry for bad spelling)
My second choice would be the Byzantines because of my heritage and third choice would be Scotland just for the way they speak and their kilts
HRE. Ritterbrüders, gothic knights and an awesome colour scheme.
Novgorod is also pretty cool cause it's Russian.
Seljuk Empire. janissaries and monster bombard
I always vote for Hungary in these polls, but where is it this time man?!
Teutons, because they look excellent, are great in terms of heavy cavalry and infantry and no more family tree, you can conquer the map without faction leader.
Kill Them All, Let God Sort Them Out!
Not listed. Khwarezmian Empire is my #1 at the moment. Amazing cavalry, excellent spears, great missile units ... and ... Dismounted Royal Guard ... gotta love these guys Then it's Kievan Rus and Seljuk Empire.
England, mainly because of longbowmen - Feels a bit like playing an elvish faction in TATW. Best mass produced archers around with yeoman and retinue variants actually able to melee ok in a tight spot. Position is also nice when you have secured the British Isles, although less challenging for that I suppose.

none of these!
my 3 favourite factions are not in the vote...
HRE - really love the units and the multiple avenues for expansion
Tough decision. I'd probably vote for Byzantine cause of their unique set of units and awesome history. But the faction I play the most is either England or Genoa...
Havn't given HRE an honest chance yet, I just... don't feel em...
I voted for Novgorod simply because I love their starting position, unit roster, and color scheme. Their units are particularly good using the Battle for the Baltic 2.0 submod. I also love not having to deal with the Pope as I conquer my way westward. Kievan Rus aren't bad either, but their proximity to the Mongols and Cumans makes me uncomfortable. After adjusting the missile damage slightly, I also like using the Cossack Musketeers, despite their obvious disadvantage towards western Musketeers.
Some other factions that I like are: England (obviously), Venice, Seljuk Turks, and the Teutonic Order. England for their archers, Venice for late technology and Fanteria Pesante, Seljuk Turks for their Janissaries and horse archers, and the Teutonic Order for.. well, just being the Teutonic Order. I did a lot of reading back in high school on the various knight orders (geeky, I know), and the Teutons seemed to stand out the most to me. The idea of supremely righteous and heavily armored knights marching against the heathens of Lithuania sends chills down my spine.
Of course, if Ireland were still a faction in SS, they would be my favorite simply due to ancestral heritage. But given how little of note Ireland was during the time period (and even now), it's understandable why they were left out.

Take the world nice and easy, and the world will take you the same.
I voted for the ERE because I really enjoy their history, plus I love the Sholariis and Siphonatores... and I can kick the pope's behind as much as I like....
I disagree about Aragon starting position. Imho it's excellent.
I only play late era and my last campaign with them was very interesting as i rushed into Italy off the bat and took Milan + Pisa. Pamplona and Toulouse makes superb defensive wall. As for their roster 100% agreed, one of the best.
