On the coast to the south of Rome, and in truth, closer to Napoli, this villa is the home of Lucius Petrus Dextrus. It is more of a village, in truth, but the people who live within it provide an atmosphere Lucius finds calming and reminds him of Pompeii.

Aulus Ovidius Priscus arrives to see the newly appointed Senator, and in truth, wants to rest after the long journey down here.

Gaius Marius Aquila also comes to visit the new arrival.

The Tribune and Consul are greeted by Lucius' household slaves, who give the two men food and drink to relax from their long journey. After preparing himself, Lucius greets both of the politicians with his arms outstretched and a grin upon his face.

Welcome to my home! Tell me, what did I do to deserve this honor?

Proconsul Corva arrives at the villa of this new senator. With him were a few greek slaves. A meeting is requested.

Lucius hastily greets the Proconsul, guessing he was not a man to keep waiting long.

Salve, Proconsul Corva. I must say, you have brought some quality slaves with you.

"I'm unsure of my sudden and unexpected companion but I felt the need to leave the confines of Roma, if but for a week or so, and decided that it would only be right for me to pay a visit to your home Lucius."

Aulus said the last with a slight bow, he was still decidedly weary from his travels but in a healthy manner.

"I was hoping that we could simply sit, and discuss that which is most important."

Hah, understandable. I detest the atmosphere of large cities, the countryside is much more beautiful... not to mention you can walk without fear of anything falling on your head. But it must seem unthoughtful of me to not have prepared seats yet. If you would kindly follow me into the next room... Lucius gestures with his left hand.

Lucius leads the other men into a smaller room with a large table in the center, along with several comfortable-looking chairs. Several slaves are standing by with platters of olives and fruit if their betters became peckish. Lucius took a seat.

"An intriguing request" *crunch* *chew*, Aulus continued," I don't usually get either the opportunity or the time to speak of it mostly because there isn't much to say. It was a small place, I grew up on my fathers estate, my family owned several nearby holdings... there isn't much else to say. Unless of course you were referring to Roma?"

No, I was not, but as I have only recently come from the south, it might do me good to know more of Roma, seeing as I will be spending much of my time there in the coming years
