I'm pretty good at ferreting out wallpapers from the net, even obscure fanmade ones that are so well done they could have been made by the game developers, or bits of art from pre-release concept pics.
CA has put out some nice wallpapers in the past, but I'm really let down with the lack of them for Shogun 2.
We have some variations of the box art with daimyo/geisha/ninja/charging cavalry, we've got some stills of the monk from the game's cgi intro, a bunch of pretty art from the concept work, but no actual, high resolution 'mean-to-be-wallpaper' wallpaper.
For example, the Rise of the Samurai advert art that's on steam would make a great wallpaper, were it higher resolution, and in larger format.
I'm excluding using ingame shots as wallpaper with a TW logo - anyone can FRAPS a screen shot and shop Total War on to it. I mean high quality art, depicting the beauty, romance and excitement of the era.
With Medieval 2, the fankit had beautiful high def art of Richard and Saladin amongst others. The original Medieval art is still nice for wallpaper.
Where's all the extra Shogun 2 goodies? Or have I failed to look somewhere?
