minor model tweak to provide the linothorax straps on the shoulder
We already have a model with linothorax, so we might just as well use that.

Actually, the Ionians and Dorians should just have an aspis, dory and a helmet. No armour (not bare chest, either, like the vanilla hoplites )

^I thought you found the naked fanatics in RTRVII disturbing?

In any case, the Greeks will be nerfed. With luck, I'll get to explain it to everyone soon

We get it. More expensive, less men, much tougher though.

The toughness we have now seems fine, at least when looking at the elite hoplites. They'll just be less widely recruitable and a bit less invulnerable from the sword-side and back.

So you're transferring more of their defence to the shield value.

^yeah, although you never know how the new EDU might turn out. Lots of factors that decide a unit's defence: spacing, lethality of the opposing units, hp, you know the drill.

Which reminds me you have to nerf sparabara. You cna let them keep some shield value and def skill, but take away their armor, make their formation less orderly, reduve their morale and increase their spacing.

increasing unit spacing did make their effectiveness in melee reduced, but at the same time, making them less vulnerable to missiles and cavalry (charges - in RTW/M2TW)
