    Default The Greeks are overpowered...

...and thus they are being changed in RoPIII. Now I want no more questions about it

... India is also overpowered (especially the elephants)

But on a more serious note, will you reskin all units? Can you add a Jewish faction? Will ROP 3 feature Imperial Stormtroopers?

I want you to create a new engine. New graphics - must be better than TWS2. At least 1700 new units, and a 120 turn per year script!

Although a 12tpy script would be very useful for a Cyrus mod.

A 365 turns per year script! But it also needs to be real-time, like Europa Universalis!!!

what's the change then? smaller unit size? just don't nerf their individual combat power, that's pretty historical.

They should be a bit more vulnerable to flanking though - in RoP 2 they didn't die even when I flanked them, and archer fire was completely ineffectual no matter where it came from.

Yes, smaller unit sizes and very limited recruitment areas (only in Greece & historical colonies, with a bit of expansion of that area in late-game)

at least, cavalry charge to their backs still do a good ammount of damages.

and what did you expect with archers (without bodkin arrowheads or late laminated composite bows) to pierce through bronze plates? On the other note, making axemen (takabara) stronger is a good idea

Again, bronze plates were reserved for the elite. And bronze is pretty soft, a short range shot from a Scythian composite bow with a steel arrowhead will probably go straight through that.

I have seen and worn bronze armor - it's very heavy, hence why it must be thin.

but unit model wise, they DID worn bronze armour, even the lowliest Dorikoi and Ionikoi hoplitai, now, where is your linothorax now (only egyptian hoplites worn this)

Actually, no. Most hoplites wore linothorax with the exception of the most elite, who'd wear bronze plate

Where the heck do you get those "Doryphoroi" from? It's Dorian & Ionian Hoplites, not Spear-bearer and Ionian hoplites

Yeah, reskinning is something on the list, but not for all units.

Dude... I mean, ma'am, it is a historical fact that most hoplites wore "linothorax" (probably made of leather and called "spolas" by greeks), if they wore body armor at all.

and her point is that most of the hoplites are wearing bronze, all are elite

BS. Most hoplites were just that - untrained citizen militia levied when there was a threat to their homes. The shield and the spear alone were probably very expensive, so most would have a helmet and one or two greaves at most in they ways of metal armor, many not even having a cuirass of any kind.

yessss but in the mod every hoplite, bar the egyptian ones, wear bronze chest armour

once again, they need to be reskinned
and oh, minor model tweak to provide the linothorax straps on the shoulder
