Hi all, I am new here and want to try RTR. I play Total war games since 2004 but never played a mod.
so this is my first mod and I want to know :

1. Can I install RTR VII and play it ? ( I have RTW 1.5 , BI 1.6, and alexander ). I know that I must have RTW 1.5 and BI 1.6 but what is with Alexander
is it a problem

It shouldn't be a problem, as long as you use the correct disk. RTR VII will use the BI engine, just point the installer towards your main RTW directory and everything should work.

You should be fine, there may be an Alexander port coming soon, so if you're interested in that keep an eye on the forum

Go to your RTW folder, and then delete the ''VII'' and ''launcher'' ones.

Hi, I install RTR VII but, i don't know how can i play... i run Rome Total War but nothing. I install The Iberian Conflict too and i can play it, why RTR VII not?? I need a icon or a patch or something?? Thanks an sorry for my english... is awfull...

Regal, you need RTW/BI patched to 1.6 to in order to play RTRVII and The Iberian Conflict. Also, make sure you point the installer to the correct folder where you have RTW installed. If you are still having issues, post back and provide as many details as possible.

Hi,
First I would like to say, love the game, I enjoy how you have separate Greek factions who all strive for their own goals. Second, I am trying to download the file for the patch and I seem to be having problems. It downloads as a .7z file, I on the other hand am running a windows xp. I tried to shift it to an .exe file however when I then went to try and install it all that comes up is the window you use to program things for data. Can anyone please help me in this process. I can't seem to locate the problem here, I am assuming it is the fact that I didn't download it as an exe file like RTR VII. It has also occured to me that the patch does not download as a zip file which I could work with.

Sure. I have windows Vista, and I have 7zip instead of Winrar, but it shouldn't be much different. Check out the instructions I made (attached).

Downloading RTRVII and Patch 1a, can't wait to try it out guys. I always wanted a total historic realism to RTW and RTW BI. hope you guys make a great RTBIR (Rome Total war Barbarian Invasion Realism) Mod too Thumbs up to you guys, for sweating it out with your RL and free time to make this AWESOME RTRVII mod.
