Longer battles and Persian Invasion script and may the Ionian Cities could be vassals of the Persians not it's allies...in my opinion...Great mod!

This is a brilliant response! Please I would like to hear more of what you guys have to think. I would also like to hear your good points aswell as criticisms. We need to know everything that you guys think so we can begin to move the mod forward in the right direction.
Please all suggestions are welcome![]()
Firstly just to say again love this mod:
To reiterate what I said before in a orderly manner, not as criticisms, more polishing
- units excellent
- Building brilliant
- research great
- map is magnificent
And lastly more of a question- would it be possible to have a send aid to 'colonies'/ 'mother city' script/option? Like Sparta in 344 sent troops to Taras, and Korinth sent troops to help Syracuse against Carthage.
- Historic events (which I am writing as we speak, so either I will with help provide a mini add on, or you can just implement if you wish
- Longer battles- less instant routes
- Much less full stacks-a major defeat should be a major problem
- Harder to take capitol cities- city walls and longer siege times
- Longer construction and recruitment times and costs
- Persian invasion script!
- Pelopennesian war script
- Music and sounds -I have been informed is in the pipeline
- Population needs to be effected more by war
As I said not critism just personnel opinion and I beleive would polish it off. Thanks all for a great mod.
I would like to announce

I think the quick routing thing is supposed to be historically accurate, so I have no problem with that. Historical events are a must for such a mod. You could also have a script that triggers some sort of hostility between Sparta and Athens when the latter becomes too strong. Persian stacks should appear when Persia goes to war with someone, too. What I'd really like is a Peloponnesian War campaign (this for the far future of course, I know you guys are busy eliminating bugs and trying to keep everyone happy).
Yes I noticed in the bug thread, great news, welcome and respect Alexander!
Most important for me is:
Basically a complete economic overhaul, causing there to be less money in game, so no stacks are being spawned non-stop, recruiting and building should have an impact on your economy instead of getting free 20k gold every turn![]()
A second idea would be to make it harder to recruit in conquered cities, especially better troops like hoplites.
Some mods like RTR have a system where you need a certain lvl of faction-specific building before unlocking troops. This could f.ex. be the Military Outpost, which is now only used to recruit diplomats but seems to be the most expensive building? So like, a M.O. lvl 1 would open access to skirmishers, lvl 2 to more advanced troops and only when you've colonised to lvl 3 you would be able to recruit the special hoplites of this new city?
Just an idea.
I would not do this; I'd rather see Cyprus rebel to the rebels including Salamis!
Problems have been reported in this forum, that Salamis keeps rebelling to Athens, causing cyprus to get several stacks of Athenian troops, in the end conquering all of Cyprus and biting big bites into Persian land, all because of free, cheap, spawn troops.
Otherwise, battle balancing indeed![]()
there is a standard bearer unit but didnt coded in the game, anyone who wants it he can find it in the DMB.txt,it has textures only for corinthians and argive for now.

i would like to see siege ladders because using only rams make it almost impossible for the AI factions to take a stone wall city from you which may sound great for some but i like the challenge and possibility that i could lose my city rather than just wait till the ballista towers to take out the ramsjust anything to make it more challenging to hold a city
Siege craft of just about any kind were largely nonexistent among the Greeks at this time (in Athens during the Peloponnesian War, it took an earthquake to destroy a section of the Long Wall before the Spartans could gain entry to the city). While I wouldn't be opposed to having siege ladders put back in for reasons of gameplay, I think a better option would be to remove tower defenses altogether (if it's possible).
Edit: On another note, I think it might be a good idea to retitle this thread to "What would you like to see in a future release?" I think most of the Heg community would agree with me in not wanting Jar and Star to get burned out trying to cram every single thing suggested into the next patch.

I second the addition of period music. Perhaps you guys could facilitate the incorporation of the music from the 'Europa Barbarorum' mod (with their permission of course)?
- Also fixing the skirmishing ability as others have stated would be great too.
- The addition of full Persian stacks would be perfect
- Also make unit morale less fickle (so to prevent the usual drag of a single unit retreating after the loss of one soldier, then charging, then starting all over again)
*And i know why its implemented, and can live with it not being changed, but is there any way to make soldiers take out there swords for face-to-face combat, instead of using their canoe length spears at such disadvantage? Maybe a simple toggle like the phalanx formation in vanilla Rome?

Greetings.
Period Music would be nice. Better animation for Hoplites also because they kinda seem to lose formation instead of trying to keep close and push forward as we would probably expect them to do so.
If they could switch to Kopis when the formation is broke it would be great.
The fast routs are happenning to me to but i would not like to be facing a phalanx claded in bronze and thrusting spears running at me. Hoplite combat relied also in the momentum of the charge to brake the oposite formation and if they suceeded a rout would probably follow.
About sieges i normaly siege and wait....or ram the door down but i havent met stone defences yet...
Anyway its a great mod, im loving it and congrats to the team![]()
Things that need to be changed
-Hoplites too fast
-Persian's overwhelmed with rebellion,Thracians, and Ionians
-Dominating Spartans (in my current Krete campaign they have 17 full stacks...plus garrisons...with only 8 cities)
-Argos needs to be stronger-it doesn't make it past 5 turns (Boeotians might need some help too...they tend to be whittled down easily)
-More information on specific hoplites (home city, famous battles, commanders, why they have their traits and stats). They all have the same general information and it gets a little boring.
Other than that, I love the campaign! It's actually challenging, exciting, and intriguing. I love the colorful units, beautiful cities and battlefields! Defending a Demos or City-States against naval invasions (yes, real naval invasions!) is great...epic defenses that run down to the last second.
Soldiers generally win wars; generals get credit for them.
-Napoleon
hoplite stance is my problem and maybe the sonic speed too
If i am gessing right, in a certain date Sparta and Athens would declare war on each other ?
Other option could be separate campaigns:
- Pelopoennesian war covering exactly that and it should include the Athens landing in Syracuse.
- The rise of Thebes in a later period under the leadership of Epaminondas.
- The rise of Macedon under Philip.
Dont know exactly if the Team of Hegemony had the intent of covering all of this, but anyway i just wanted to leave the idea.
