I have not tested that, but in nap_europe.csv, you can find a bunch of music events, and coordinates.
I believe it could be used to define what musics to display in different areas of the map.
Wau
1 This is good news, but I would rather change the volume on the campaign map. Everything else - the shots, voice and etc I'm not interested.
2 I meant is it possible to assign a track for each faction. Ie for England - "Irish drinking song", for Ukraine "gopak", for RI "Kalinka - raspberry", for Prussia "Ramstein" etc )) Ie in the territory of each country playing folk music.
3 This is bad
Ie for the East and for Eastern Europe can now divide the tracks?
Sorry for asking a dumb question, but where does the symphony.exe executable go? Every time i try to open it it closes right away. I hope to be able to change volume of voices.
You don't just open it, you need to use a command line. Refer to the instructions in the first post.

Got it!I just have to edit sounds_events_voices.csv, but i dont see it.
When symphony unpacks the files, it merges all the sound_events files into one .csv file called sound_events.csv. If you scroll through it you'll see it's just them all stuck together one after the other, so just go through it until you find the entries that would otherwise have been in sound_events_voices.csv and edit those.

with no output at all. What did i do wrong?

I appear to be suffering from a similar issue as last time, except now its in my new ETW mod. I carried out similar modifications to the .csv file as I did in NTW. That is to add new tracks remove loop points, etc. and the sound_events file created by Symphony has caused not only some UI sounds to disappear, but also the main menu track. Again I'll provide my modified file and any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you very much for making this tool crux3D, awesome job
That's just what happened to me when I tried to extract with Symphony all .csv and .xml files and immediately (ie without changing anything) back together on a new .PACK as a mod. Then launched Empire and once got to the main menu I didn´t hear anything, but curiously when I click on Options->Show Credits and then I return to the menu it played the theme that came with the DLC Warpath. I don´t know what causes it

wow, thanks for this.. now i just need to figure out how to give firing sounds to Improved_grape and Rifled_Naval_cannon, as they don't have any in vanilla..
Tell me please detailed AS IT to USE?
1 Where to place a file symphony.exe?
a) In folder data?
b) In folder Empire Total War?
c) In folder scripts?
Where to create folders sounds_packed and unpacked sounds?
That that written in the title in the Chinese language. I nothing not understood. You can explain more clearly?
Can someone do a step by step explination on how this tool is used based on pictures or maybe even better a video in youtube. Because i simply can't understand how the heck this works.
Hi,
First of all many thanks to crux3D for developing this tool, which in good hands could make a difference in modding. I have however stumbled upon some problems and I seek some guidance in using it.
So, I have done a bit of testing trying to get rid of the annoying random voice bug. In order to do this I followed the steps described in the first post :
1. removed all mod files, including the user.script.txt
2. extracted the sound files
3. got no error whatsoever
4. reinstalled the mod
5. packed the files with the user.script.txt
6. got again no error whatsoever
7. added the new pack in my data folder and a line in user.script.txt
8. played the game.
Until here everything went neat (except myself stumbling in writing lines in command line after at least 10 years of not doing this). However, in the game the things got even worse (if my hussars called themselves lancers before, now they call themselves grenadiers !, and pretty much al cavalry units see themselves as infantry).
So I guess a change is definitely there, but I might have done something wrong. One of the reasons I suspect could be my complete awkward naming of units (for instance Hussars are called Romanian_Hussars and not Cav_Light_Romanian_Hussars), but then, even the unmoded units (with standard names and stats) in my mod got weird voices.
Anyone has any idea of how to put things right?
Many thanks.

Why do you add a new pack and a line in the user.script.txt in 7. after you packed the file in 5?
This what I do for NTW:
- edit all the tables that could have units in it.
- Place my mod pack in the data folder and user script
- Then use sympony to pack the sound AFTER I have installed my mod
- Replace in my modpack only the two files compiled with symphony (and nothing else)
It works.
Thanks for the answer. At 7 I meant that I have compiled the files with symphony as a pack (not as a folder containing sound_bank and another file) and put it as a mod.pack with its own line.
I realized yesterday that actually I had to edit the files with the units in my mod. Till now I have done some tests and it seems to work better (almost 75 per cent of the units have the right voice). When I'll have the time I'll add ALL the units in my mod and see what happens. Again, thanks for the tip.
Edit: It works perfectly.
