Hi Guys, is it big deal to play this mod with 1.153? i have a STEAM version of Warband, and therefore i cannot "downgrade" to recommended 1.143 version...
Anything with 1.143 and up will work.
Not sure if anyone ever looks here but...
The game rather lags for me on the 'campaign' map, is that normal? Anyway to decrease lag? It's especially bad when using freelance / staying in a town or city / making camp, etc.
Unfortunately, the lag is normal...its due to the large amount of factions and lords/cities/parties in the mod, and all the related scripts running in the background. Its the trade-off for the huge scale of the mod.
Having a good processor reduces the lag. But if you are like me, you might get used to the lag, and it wont really bother you much.
Ah, but my processor sucks And the lag really makes the mod less enjoyable. Guess I'll have to give it a shot anyway, since it seems the best medieval realism mod out there. I'd play a smaller scale campaign if those wee available but sadly I don't think there are.
+rep for your response
My processor sucks too (amd x2 5200+) , but hopefully, the fun you'll have is worth suffering this minor issue. I only noticed it the first few weeks i played the mod, after that i got used to it.
Unfortunately there is no smaller campaign either, i myself would have liked some smaller campaigns as well. But warband module system works differently than MTWII, it would be too much work to maintain separate MS for each of the campaigns. But maybe someday, when the final version of the mod is released, submods could be done, by changing the map and reducing the number of factions. Someday...
Thanks for the rep. Hope you enjoy your playthrough.
Just discovered this mod, I have to say it's awesome, it's brytenwalda meets europe 1200 and they merge into awesomeness
