I don't see why those similarities are a problem? They're a similar kind of unit and they've been made faithful to the books' descriptions of the Night's Watch?

I think scarf and hood style fits very well on Night's Watch lore. This is the tipical ranger style...
I like too the picture you posted... A sort of Raziel (SoulReaver) style! Perhaps If we'll add other units...

So, how does the wall actually work? Or is that not being discussed right now?
what will happen if the lord commander is killed? Will the watch work like the teutonic order in having a leader and faction heir with generals being available for adoption but it being called recruitment instead? Great job with it by the way, a big surprise well done

it was called recruitment in teutonic so there should be a way. what about special traits for someone that wins many battles or takes many regions like in teutonic, surely that should be implemented?
wildlings are one of the big reasons i want this mod. Mammoths, chariots, giants, and warg bodyguards would be really cool.
