Well, non-lore elements can be distinguished in 2 groups:
The one I call fanfiction, which fills the not well-known and unknown parts of the lore in the direction of the "coolness". See BFME, LotRO etc. and the other one, which I call creative fiction, that fills the gaps with well-reasoned and thought elements, using the most logical assumptions and parallells compared to RL.

Plus, someone may consider a settlement in Eriador that isn't mentioned as a non-lore element, while another one may say that in that place, because of its importance (strategic/economic etc) there should have been a fort or a settlement.

All in all, to finish with my nonsense, I don't think that the team will give a really satisfactory response in your question

Hmmm... why doesn't Beorn answer the questions?
I read this so called Bible, and found it to be a third rate story in which this so called 'jesus' is nothing more than a shameless lampooning of Brian, which has inspired joy and laughter in millions.

of course, I meant the "fanfiction" parts, not the contrary parts (nothing is contrary with the lore as far ^^)

Do you mean follow a different process when creating the mod in general or create "feature X" differently (eg, change the recruitment system, or use faction X instead of faction Y etc)?

Either would be fine, but my intent was to ask you whether you would make FATW in a completely different way from the ground up.

Might seem like a stupid question, but... what do the dev team think of Tom Bombadil?

On a more serious note, if you guys decided to do another LoTR mod or game sometime in the future without any limitations from the game, what era or event would you focus the mod around? Why that era or event in particular?
